The dub for Power is actually really good. It pretty much sounds like an English version of her. Still prefer the sub in general tho

Yes power's voice actress is perfect. Amazing episode indeed. The eternity devil got the adaptation it deserves, it really is so creepy and haunting. Some anime-only shots were added here to assist that. The realism of Arai and Kobeni is precise here, just as Himeno said, you can see that these two people are just too sane to handle these situations. Its best to be a little crazy when you face it. Also best boy Aki! This episode should show how amazing aki is to the people who claimed him "edgy revenge guy" (read Sasuke from Naruto). There is so much more to Aki I can't wait.

A Toilet Duck

2 main take-aways from this episode for me. Firstly, really really enjoy the dynamic between Aki and Himeno. Reckon any screen time they share is going to be a massive positive in any future episodes going forward. Secondly, perhaps the only aspect of this show which hasn't really grabbed me so far has been the devils as antagonists, but this episode has gotten me much more excited to see what we're going to get from those guys in the future.

Each episode is my new favorite, this one is just so good. Aki and Eyepatch girl are becoming some of my favorite characters. The shows and the characters are so great and for the dub, I think power is my favorite voice in it, I personally prefer the sub for this show but that may be because I started this show in sub vs most shows I start in dub and watch sub when I'm caught up

Hey! Nice review. So idk if you heard, but they interviewed the series director and he said that they wanted to make CSM much less “anime-like” and exaggerated etc. The author Fujimoto is a huge film buff (obviously) and they wanted to make the show almost as if it were a live action movie. That’s why there are so many amazing cinema like shots and flow. Definitely check out the translation of that interview !

Oh that’s cool. I did notice that this show seemed much more cinematic than most anime (several shots reminded me of S4E2 of AoT) which strangely makes it feel more grounded despite the premise. Now I’m even more interested to see where it goes lol

The dub is hilarious too I gotta say, since you brought it up - Denji's english VA is the only one I was iffy on because I feel like it's a noticeably different feel than the JP VA. I cracked up hard with Kobeni and Arai knife screaming scene both dub viewings
