Somehow this episode is even less memorable to me than Dinosaurs on a Spaceship. Lol I just remember it as the Western with the cyborg and the face markings. It has its moments though, and a decent throughline of the Doctor's darker side, though I agree with you that Rory should have a problem with wilfully committing murder. They can still have Amy be the one to convince the Doctor since she would get through to him better than Rory, but I think they wanted it to be a standout moment for her

It's no surprise you liked it better than the last one, and it won't be a surprise if you don't like the next one as much. Both the surrounding episodes are written by Chris Chibnall. Ever seen Broadchirch? Don't bother. Worst detective show ever.
