I cannot wait to see your reaction (and hear your thoughts) on the episodes to come. I recall vividly when I came upon these episodes for the first time. Despite being a Who fan as a kid, I had missed the new WHO episodes so my first reintroduction was the 11th hour after hearing Matt Smith on BBC Radio 1 via Sirius on my drive into work. After that, each week I purchased the eps on ITUNES (that’s how long ago it was). I watched in the dark, on my laptop, in my bed. It was so much fun! I’m glad you’re enjoying the season so far. Is it next Friday yet?

That’s actually lovely! I know that feeling of anticipation for something!

We love to take the piss out of places in the UK, I think people in Lancashire probably loved that moment XD there’s quite a few places that are always “bullied” here

This one is a interesting one for the fandom. Steven Moffat has said many a time that this is his least favourite episode he wrote. There’s a majority of people in the fandom that say that this episode was too soon in the story as well and shouldn’t have been episode 2. That Amy shouldn’t have known the doctor that well and it was a lil too soon to see the Doctor’s fury. Personally I get where these criticisms come from but I don’t fully agree. I think Matt Smith did a great job with the doctors fury without being too much and it made sense for the story told. And Amy has known and dreamed about the doctor 14 years soo of course she will have a different perspective than most. My problem was the heavy handiness at the end like the audience couldn’t have figured out the parallel themselves like you said but hey 🤷‍♀️ not too much of problem for me to dislike this episode. I actually thoroughly enjoyed revisiting this episode with you.

I've got a very soft spot for this episode. Love the continuing fairytale vibes, the overt politics, the Doctor's shocking outburst (we still don't really know this strange new man, it's almost frightening).
