Shingeki 4x1 Early Access comment section (Patreon)

Hello everyone, unfortunately I have not been able to go into the comment section at all. It was brought to my attention there are spoilers in there, and that at least 4 comments would have been deleted immediately if it was the YouTube comment section.

It’s a bummer that I can’t engage with Patrons because of this.

Essentially, anything I have not seen yet or hasn’t been confirmed yet in the Anime is a spoiler.

That’s unfortunate, but it’s good you’re being so careful. This season is so easy to spoil, even the opening is very vague. Just do what you gotta do man 🤟

What is the spoiler rule on details that were cut from the anime? Is it a spoiler if you're already supposed to know that detail at that point in the story? I feel like that would save you from some potential wild goose chases

wild goose chases are half the fun XD guiding him toward the right answer is like holding his hand. It's hard to have your expectations subverted if no one lets you wander off the path. We all experienced it for the first time once, too. He can always read the manga after the anime and enjoy it anew. Anime lovers deserve some spoil-free fun :)

I try to use common sense about things (like some dialogue or quick cuts) that didn't feature in certain episodes despite the manga equivalent of those episodes featuring them. If it's about Grisha and Kruger's conversation, for example, it's fine to bring up extra details Kruger talked to Grisha about in the manga chapters of 88/89, so long as they never get explicitly said ever again. But if the manga, let's say, mentions something in chapter 70 about a certain topic and does it again in chapter 110 (just citing random chapters here) and someone goes "Hey! In chapter 70 they say this and the anime cut it!", I might delete it because the anime might eventually tell him, even if it's in a later episode instead. Basically, if the manga mentions it in a one and done type thing and the anime skips it, it's fine to tell him. If it gets brought up again in future manga chapters, then the anime also has another chance to introduce the information, so I delete the comment. That's the more nuanced part, but profile pics of things beyond what he's uploaded are instant deletions and so are things like pointing his thought process into a certain direction as a manga reader, confirming or denying his theories, hyping up a specific episode(s) and of course, the classic "let's cram as many spoilers in a sentence as possible" ones.

How sad to realize that even on this platform people do not measure or cannot refrain from commenting on future events without first thinking on the enjoyment of both the content creator and his respective followers. It is a pity that due to all this I could not receive an answer on the Vimeo issue which lead to a poor experience of the latest reaction. What a bad timing! :(

As long as you can stay spoiler free, we can all accept if you don't read comments/interact. It really is a pure joy to listen to you reviewing/theorizing. It even became a little upsetting to watch other reactors not picking up stuff that I would be sure that you would ahah.

I scouted through the comments just to see who was the idiots who did that. Turns out i was one among 2-3 others that confirmed something that we should have just kept our mouth shut. I do not know how it happened, i was just typing things without thinking much. I want to honestly apologize to you publicly. I did not do this on purpose, it just slipped. The comment has been deleted. I really hope you can start interacting with us again.
