Hi Im,i'm just here to thank you for your great work as always and your predictions blowing my mind.So i wanted to point out this is the first season that cut a lot of the manga material and changed the order of events drastically.Things get on track with the manga later on but this first few episodes are really fast paced as you already noticed. So anyway if you're interested in getting more insight into these characters,i'd recommend reading chapter 54 pages 7 through 13(dont read the first pages),its literally the same conversation eren had with historia in the first episode of season 3 but more fleshed out and in a different location(not a big deal really,just different place).Its hard to consider this spoiler because it was already covered in the anime and i'm only pointing this out because i think this is one of the best dialogues in the entire series and the anime really condensed it. Its completely fine if you wanna remain an anime-only though,i'm just recommending this because i see you enjoy a lot the characters and understanding their backgrounds,etc... Ps:You can actually read the entire chapter from page 7 onwards (but the historia and eren convo ends in page 13)because its only the torture stuff mixed with levi conversation with Dimo reeves(that is more in-de´pth on the manga,but basically the same thing)

Have been looking forward for you to watch this episode. I’m pretty sure you’d enjoy the flashbacks of not one but two characters. Although, I do feel it’s a bit more rushed than in the manga but it served its purpose all the same

Was really hoping you would take a shot at what young Erwin asked his dad but enjoyed the discussion regardless. Although it has no significance to the series I also would like to know your thoughts about the reveal of school. I was considering the fact that of what I can remember EMA were never mentioned as going to school or any other characters. I figured that alot of the kids learn to read/write at home by their parents and at least for those who join the military their education begins/continues there. I'm saying this because poverty seems a good incentive to join what with everything provided to them plus pay that could go to any family they might have. This is mostly because I'm really interested in how the wall people live and their society. We know that a class system exists so I figured only nobles or rich merchants children even attended school and by the way young Erwin dresses he is considerably well off (not saying he is noble/rich) when compared to the clothes EMA wear. Does anyone know if he was born or lived in Sina?

Actually Isayama stated in an interview that indeed schools exist even in Shiganshina. EMA went to school for some years actually (Eren and Armin, because Mikasa came later after her parent's death)

Hey man glad you're enjoying the vids. Yep I've heard that a lot, about the manga stuff being cut out from the show for S3. I definitely plan on reading the Manga, but I would like to read it right from the beginning and then eventually get to this part in the Manga.

Higher education does exist I believe. Slight spoilers for the Lost Girls OVA, nothing to do with Annie though, but someone does mention a place called Enlich University and someone actually having a major in something. This was in Stohess though, so much closer to the center. All the kids we know joined the military when they were 12 though, so they definitely stopped after some pretty basic schooling.
