Man, congratulations on finishing the first season! I've loved every minute of these reactions, and I can't wait for the OVAs and season 2. Also, would you like a download link for the AOT soundtrack?

I loved that you reviewed the season as a whole at the end and gave us some of your favorites. And I could not agree more with you on the soundtrack, it is in my opinion the best thing the anime has over manga, it just puts it on another level. That's why when a new chapter releases I read it with the AOT OST in the background. There are many upcoming moments where the soundtrack will give you goosebumps. Edit: Forgot to say, but the soundtrack is on Spotify, if you're interested just search for Hiroyuki Sawano, he'll be doing the OST for S3 as well. Also excited to see how S2 and S3, when it comes out, will effect your list of favorite characters. Now onto S2 which I think will probably top S1 for you.

Yeah, there are several scenes in S2 I keep on rewatching because the musical accompaniment gives me goosebumps

After this video i was like: 👏👏👏👏👏. Yeah you are right about the music/soundtrack and hiroyuki sawano also likes to use cello for emotional and slow songs like Djawadi.

Only you can dish out an 1+ hr long review and have me listen to every second of it. Love love love hearing all your thoughts, theories and predictions. (1) re: why the Armour Titan didn't show up during the attack on Trost. If you recall ep. 22 (?), Armin gives his take on it: he speculates that it was Eren's transformation. For some reason, seeing Eren's Titan form caused the enemy to change plans (i.e. breaching the inner wall of Wall Rose). Again, this is Armin's speculation. (2) If Eren is Frodo, Armin is Samwise, and I am entirely satisfied with this comparison, their friendship is beautiful. (3) "The music." -slams hands on table- Yes to everything you said about the role and importance of the music on this show. Absolutely integral and elevates it in so many ways. (4) I am so pleased with everything you had to say about Annie. (5) Can't wait for the OVAs and s2. I am going to enjoy your reaction to No Regrets so much; Levi and Erwin are fantastic characters. [edit: Since you mentioned music...There is an exemplary piece of diegetic music in that OVA and I hope you mention it :')]

Damn fantastic discussion, this has got me insanely excited for future reactions. Absolutely agree on the music, there's such a variety of both instrumental and vocal tracks, they area all done so well, completely immerse you in the scene, and make you feel every kind of emotion.

Also, every time I see that scene with the bloodied/crying girl in the blue dress walking down that street alone it reminds me of the only person shown in color in Schindler's List (that little girl with the red dress) for some reason. Probably because they're both strangely in focus for their respective portions of the episode/film and an embodiment of the consequences of the death/destruction being caused out of their control.
