You’re reaction was everything I’d hoped for. I remember I took a few months between watching the end of season one and the start of season two. I was devastated and just wasn’t ready for a new doctor. That said, the next episode is a Christmas episode and I now watch it every year. I promise you’re going to love where this show goes. It’s hard to change, and we love our doctors so much, but I promise the rest of the show just gets better and better. ❤️

And so we have the reveal of the Bad Wolf and the end of Eccleston’s run (: I’m really enjoyed what little time he had on the show. This finale is always a favorite of mine. To Rose becoming Bad Wolf to the SUPER bittersweet moment of them finally embracing each other, only to have him regenerate to a new personality. Now we move on to David Tennant. It’ll take time to get used to him, but thankfully Rose is basically us as an audience right now, so she’s going through the same thoughts and emotions, giving us someone from Chris’s run to sort of pass the torch to the next doctor (:

Footnote; the Dalek Emperor made his first appearance in the 1967 episode "The Evil of the Daleks"

I have no name

I think it’s a different Dalek Emperor the one from The Evil Of The Daleks was destroyed

Great reaction - even though you knew the change was coming it hits you where it always does - right in the feels! I love the nod to the classic series in that scene - 9 paraphrases what Doctor 5 says just after he has regenerated from Doctor 4 "That's the trouble with regeneration. You never quite know what you're going to get". That sums up the agony & the joy of a change in Doctors. Can't wait for "The Christmas Invasion".

I loved Eccleston as the Doctor. Always loved his smile, love it on The Leftovers too. I was bawling when you started crying. Can't handle that :( This episode is so sad. I know the feeling... it felt kind of wrong seeing David Tennant at the end. When I watched it for the first time. :)
