[Congratulations! You have chosen Rose Magic! You have now unlocked these skills:]

[Plant Magic Lv.1]

[Thorn Growth Lv.1]

[Poison Mastery Lv. 1]

This was amazing! Rosa could now use magic; she could… wait, Poison Mastery? What did that mean?

[Congratulations! You have unlocked the status window. Here you can view your status, skills, and Villainous Meter. The Villainess Meter will show the current status of villainess points you have. You may also access the shop from this window. As you progress further as a villainess, more options will open in the shop. Please do you’re best to become the most heinous villainess in all of history~!]

Rosa was dumbfounded. She had never expected such an interactive system. However, the Otome was pretty complex as well. There were multiple routes that could only be unlocked after reaching a certain set number of skills and stats. Hmm, as the villainess, she sure has some pretty high stats, right? The game only allowed you to see the stats and skills of the heroine. Seeing that she was given the chance to do so Rosa wasted no time opening up the status window. Though what she saw only made her regret choosing Rose Magic.

[STR: 1, DEF: 1, INT: 2, CHA: 10, MAG: 0]

What the hell was this!? With 0 magic, there was no way that she could learn magic in the first place! She just wasted 10 points for nothing! It would have been better for her to pick Royal Etiquette than this. It was no wonder her family allowed her to see their true selves. It was because she was too weak to be of use to them!

Rosa fell asleep in despair, not wanting to think about it any longer. For the next several days that followed, Rosa was stuck in bed while her family took care of her. At first, she was a bit skeptical about trusting them, knowing their dark secret, but they treated her like a princess, which was a given, seeing as she was the daughter of a Duke. Though Rosa was getting bored lying in bed all day, she wanted to see the sun.

“Mother, go we, please go outside~?” Rosa asked, looking up at her beautiful mother, her raven-like hair dangling down on Rosa’s face as she lay in her mother’s lap. Her mother was a very affectionate and gentle woman. She didn’t mind that Rosa had lost her memories so long that Rosa herself was safe. Those that dare to try harming her would pay the price just as the maid from several days ago paid the price for hurting her.

“Sweetie, you are still too weak; you need your rest,” her mother said, hoping to keep her from harm. She didn’t want anything to happen to her like… no, that was in the past. She had to focus on her child’s future and keeping her safe.

“Please~?” Rosa asked, begging her mother, giving her the most innocent and cute look that she could. “Just for a little bit~.”

“Sigh. Fine, but just for a bit, and you need to bundle up. It’s chilly outside.” Her mother couldn’t say no to her when she was this cute. She had to concede and give her daughter what she wanted. “Jessica.”

“Yes, madam~,” a short-haired brunette maid said from the side of the bed.

“Prepare Rosa something warm for where we are going out,” her mother said, smiling at her daughter, who couldn’t hold back her own smile from being allowed to go outside.

“Thank you mother~!” she yelled happily, hugging her mother. Finally, she could leave this room!

“Um, mother I think that this is a bit too much,” Rosa said, barely able to stand with all of the clothes that she was being forced to wear. “I look like a colorful potato.”

“And you are the cutest potato~,” she said, teasing her daughter, looking at how cute she was. “Trust me. You need this much if you are to go out in this weather~.” Rosa’s mother took her hand and led her daughter outside.

The ground was covered in snow, and the brisk air sent shivering down Rosa’s spine. She could understand if she was a bit cold from this, but now it felt like she was freezing! Rosa couldn’t stop herself from clinging to her mother, who was extremely warm thanks to her fire magic.

“See, sweetie. I tried to tell you~,” her mother said, picking her little potato up into her arms and carrying her the rest of the way. Ever since she was born, Rosa has had a weak constitution. It was brave of her to come outside despite this. It had only been a few minutes, and they were already coming back inside. “Now, let’s go inside and get you something warm to drink~.”

“Yes, please~,” Rosa said with a muffled voice, unable to stop herself from nuzzling into her mother’s warm chest.

“Madam, we have a problem,” Jessica said, walking over to my mother.

“What is it, Jessica?” Rosa’s mother asked, placing her onto the ground once they were inside.

“Madam, I do believe that it will be best if we talk in private. It has to do about “that,” Jessica said so that Rosa wouldn’t understand what they were talking about.

“Alright, Rosa sweetie, please stay here. When I get back, we can sit by the fire with something warm to drink,” she said to her daughter, following Jessica to the next room.

“Okay~!” Rosa said, but she had no intention of staying still. This was the first time that she had the chance to explore the Duke’s residence, and there was no way that she would let this chance go by.

While still dressed like a colorful potato Rosa waddled her way through the first floor. It was amazing. She had always dreamed of exploring places like this but never had the chance back in her old life. Plus, there was a lot of extra capital here. If things did go wrong for her in the future, she could “borrow” some of these shiny items and run away before she hits any death flags. The first one that she had to avoid was becoming the crown prince's finance.

The game mentions that their engagement is announced when the prince turns ten, so there isn’t much tie for her to prepare. Though since she was different from the original Rosa, she shouldn’t have to meet a bad end. In the game, Rosa was initially obsessed with the crown prince because of his looks and title. The prince, on the other hand, never loved her and never showed her any attention other than anger. His mood would always sour when he saw her, despite her doing everything that she could to make him happy.

The main reason he never decided to end their engagement before was because it was arranged by the king and the Duke. This changed after he met with the heroine. He started to show her more affection than his own fiancé. One thing led to another, and before Rosa knew it, she was facing one of her many bad ends. Though, to be honest, it wasn’t completely Rosa's fault. She was designed to love a prince that never loved her, and not to mention that he cheated on her with another girl while they were still engaged. He was the one the deserved to be punished the most.

“Kyaaa~!!!”

CRASH!

What was that? Upon hearing a loud scream and the sound of something breaking, Rosa quickly made her way over to see what was going on. Once there, she saw that one of the maids was collapsed on the ground, covered in water, next to broken shards of glass, while a blonde-haired boy loomed over her.

“Please forgive me! I am terribly sorry! It was an accident!” the maid begged, tears rolling down her eyes.

“You dare ask me to forgive you after what you did,” the blonde-haired boy said, holding a knife in front of her face.

[A maid in your employ is about to be harmed by a strange boy. Stop him.]

[Physical Violence (+5)]

[Verbal (+5)]

[Please choose in the next 30 seconds of face punishment.]

There were only two choices this time. Rosa didn’t understand why there were two choices this time instead of three or why this would count as a villainess action, but she didn’t care. Someone was about to get hurt, and she didn’t want to stand around and do nothing.

“Stop! What are you doing!?” Rosa yelled, waddling over to them.

“Huh? Who let an ugly potato girl in here,” the boy said, looking down on her because of how she was dressed.

“S-shut up! You stay away from her!” Rosa yelled at him, scared to get closer because of the knife in his hands.

“You, a potato girl, dare give me orders?” the boy asked, furious that there was someone that would dare talk back to him. “This maid tried to drop a flower vase on my head to kill me, and you dare to tell me to stop.”

“It’s not true! I tripped! It was by no means intentional!” The maid looked frightened, and Rosa could tell that she was telling the truth. There was a bump in the carpet behind her. She must have tripped on that.

“Quiet! You filthy commoners are all the same! You need to shut up and-”

SMACK!

Rosa couldn’t bear to hear him talk anymore. While she was still scared of the knife that he held, she knew that she couldn’t remain a coward . Without hesitation, she smacked the rude child in the face. Though she wasn’t certain how much she hurt him thanks to all the clothes she was wearing.

“You arrogant potato girl!” The boy sounded furious, ready to strike her back.

“Young Lady, there you are!” Jessica yelled, running over to Rosa, finally finding her after several minutes of searching. “What are- your highness! I beg you to forgive this disrespect!” Jessica pulled me away from the boy and bowed before him. But why did she call him, your highness?

[Congratulations! You have successfully angered the crown prince! Your relationship with him will be negatively impacted by this! You have also met both requirements to stop him, earning you 10 villainess points. You are doing a great job at becoming a proper villainess~. Keep up the good work~.]
