“It’s been a while since I’ve been back here,” Kirito said, looking at himself in the mirror. His long hair went down past his waist. It was a bit unnatural for him. But in Gun Gale Online this is who he was, just a cute femboy.

It’s not as if he wanted this cute, but this avatar skin was gifted to him as a transfer bonus. Luckily he didn’t play Gun Gale all too often, but today he was here to show Asuna and Silica around.

“OMG! Kirito you look so cute~!” Asuna yelled embracing her boyfriend after seeing him in his femboy avatar.

“Asuna quit it~,” Kirito embarrassingly said to her, trying to avoid causing a scene. He was already quite popular from the last time he played and didn’t want to attract any more attention to himself.

“Pfft, still using that avatar, I see~,” Sinon said mocking him. Gun Gale was the game where they first meet so she was the one most familiar with this form of his. Though there was that one awkward misunderstanding that she had with him when they first met.

“…Um, should call you Kirito-chan, instead of Kirito-san?” Silica asked nervous, wondering how Kirito could look so cute despite being a boy.

“…Just Kirito is fine,” he said to her, a bit annoyed that they were all treating him this way.

“Silica look at this~,” Asuna said, pulling her over to her. “It says here that Kirito’s avatar model is so rare that he can wear both male and female equipment and when he does it takes whatever desired appearance that he wants.”

“Wow~! That’s amazing!” Silica said as she and Asuna started to read up more about his special avatar.

“Pfft, I guess this is everything that you dreamed it would be when you said that you would help them get into this game

“Ugh, don’t remind me,” he said back to her. I’m beginning to regret my choices with that. I can’t believe I forgot about this avatar.”

“Come on it’s not so bad, it’s just those two,” Sinon said to him, trying to make him feel better.

“Sinon sweety there you are~!” an older looking woman with sizable assets said running towards them. “It took me forever to find you~.

“Tia! I told you that I was going to help you tomorrow, not today!” Silica yelled, embarrassed that her only girl friend decided to come here without telling her.

“I’m sorry~,” Tia said, bowing her head to apologize to her. “But on the good news, I finally found out how to get back at my ex for dumping me the way that he did~!”

“That’s great,” Sinon said to her. “So, what did you decide to do?”

“Well, you see what I did was…oh, I’m sorry, I must have interrupted your little get-together,” she said seeing that Sinon was not alone

“I am Tia Hano. I may not look like it, but I am indeed Sinon’s best friend in Gun Gale~! It is a pleasure to meet you all~,” she said bowing her head to them. “Thank you for taking care of her, I may not know her IRL, but Sinon has helped me a lot even though she may get a bad rep around here!”

“It was no problem at all!” the three of them said back to her.

“So you must be Asuna, and you’re Sinon,” she said greeting the two of them, before turning over to talk to Kirito. “…. And you are… wait… you can’t be Kirito-chan can you~?”

“I’ve always wanted to meet you ever since I saw you and Sinon compete together~. You have to accept my friend request~. There are so many clothing and accessory stores that we have to go together to~!”

“Um Tia, Kirito is a guy,” Sinon said, breaking the news to her friend.

“Oh my~. I didn’t expect someone so cute to be a boy~,” she said looking over at Kirito again to see if they weren’t just messing with her. “Well, I guess that this works as well~. That Avatar model is quite rare don’t you think~? Would you like to sell it to me~?”

“Sorry, but despite how I look I’ve grown accustomed to it,” Kirito said to her disappointment.

“That’s fine,” she said back to him. “It still really is great to meet you all~! I better get going the event is about to start and I still have a few things to prepare~!”

“Wait before you go, you said that you had a way to get back at your ex… what was it?” Sinon asked her.

“Oh, it’s nothing~!” Tia said before running off just as fast as she had arrived.

“I’m so sorry!” Sinon said back to everyone, embarrassed by her friend coming here. “Tia’s a bit of a scatterbrain, but she doesn’t mean any harm.”

“Hehehe, it’s fine,” Asuna said, letting out a small laugh. “She seems nice, we should all hang out sometime~.”

“…Um what event was she talking about?” Silica asked Kirito and Sinon.

“To be honest it’s the exact event that we brought you here for~!” Sinon said to them.

“This is the paintball event,” Kirito said to them. “Once a month Gun Gale hosts a mini-event for new players. It’s a place where you can die as many times as you want without penalty. The event itself wasn’t too popular until they made an update and turned it into a paintball event.”

“The event is usually just for newbies, but veteran players play it as well. There is a special reward that you can get for winning. It’s been random each time, so there is no telling what you could get.”

“Wow~! That sounds amazing~!” Silica said, happily to Kirito. “So, when do we begin?”

“Right now~,” Sinon said with a grin on her face as a blue screen appeared before all of them.

All four of them agreed and they were teleported to separate areas and equipped with the proper paintball gear before the event started.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

“Ugh! No fair! You were only supposed to be good with a saber!” one player yelled as he was shot several times by Kirito.

“Too bad,” Kirito said to himself, moving on to the next person. He knew that there were several veterans of the game playing here, but he wouldn’t lose to them. He had been training for weeks in order to not lose instantly in this event. It was time to show Asuna how cool he was in this game!

BANG! BANG! BANG!

“Eeekkk! …Wait it doesn’t hurt,” Silica said. Unlike Kirito who was doing quite well, she had already been shot several times by another player.

“Hah! What a newb!” the one guy wearing a tiger mask who shot her yelled at her. “Go back to playing your baby games kid!”

“You’re mean!” Silica yelled, losing all the points she had.

In this event, player start off with 500 points. When you are shot you lose 100 points. And when you shoot at someone and hit them you gain 100 points. If a player has 0 points, no more points can be taken from them, but that doesn’t stop them from gaining points themselves. After the hour time limit whoever has the most points win.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

“Phew these guys are tough, how are you doing Asuna?” Sinon asked Asuna as she shot three guys in front of her. The moment that they entered the game they met up with each other, but it wasn’t long before they were surrounded by a dozen players.

“I’m fine,” Asuna said back to her. This was a bit different than using a sword, but she was adapting quickly enough.

“That’s good,” Sinon said to her. Now let’s-”

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

“Zehahahahahaha! You two got too careless~!” the same guy with the tiger mask that mocked Silica yelled, shooting them each enough times to strip them of all their points. “Dumb girls like you shouldn’t be playing a game like this!”

“What the heck! Who was that guy!?” Asuna yelled in frustration.

“That’s T1G3R,” Sinon said, showing his gamer tag to Asuna. “He’s an up-and-coming newbie. He has the skills to be a top player. Though he’s a massive jerk and he’s Tia’s ex-boyfriend.”

“Wait someone as sweet as Tia dated him?” Asuna said confused. While their meeting was short she could tell that Tia was a nice girl, though it made no sense that she would ever date such a jerk.

“Unfortunately they did date,” Sinon said back to her. “At first he was kind and sweet, but it was all a façade. Tia’s family is quite wealthy and she gifted him a lot of things during their time together, though the moment that she stopped giving him stuff his true colors were shown and he dumped her.”

“Wow, what a jerk!” Asuna said, getting mad at this guy. Hopefully, someone would teach him a lesson!

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

“Die you crossdressing freak!” T1G3R yelled at Kirito who was dodging all of the bullets with relative ease.

While this guy was indeed good, he wasn’t good enough to beat Kirito. His moves were too straightforward for someone like Kirito who had always faced his opponents head-on. Kirito had seen live footage of this guy and how he played, and that only made him that much more pissed at him. He saw what this guy did to his friends and wasn’t impressed.

BANG! BANG!

“You’re pathetic,” Kirito said shooting two more bullets at this guy. The only reason he was able to land a hit on Sinon was that he didn’t face her head-on. Dealing with him should be easy enough.

“Argh!!! Shut the fuck up!” T1G3R yelled at him, getting pissed that he couldn’t harm Kirito. This was his chance to prove that he was the best, but Kirito wasn’t going to let him have that glory!

“I’ll-”

BANG!

Kirito saw that T1G3R was getting distracted by his own rage and used this chance to shoot him straight in the head, making him fall backward on his ass. Before he could get up Kirito pinned him down on the ground with his foot.

“You lose,” Kirito said before emptying his gun onto him, taking all of T1G3R’s points away and winning the event!

Once the event was over all the players were teleported to the same location where the reward would be given to the winner.

“This isn’t fair!” T1G3R yelled at Kirito. “I should have won! You cheated!”

“I did no such thing,” Kirito said back to him, perhaps you should learn to play the game a bit more before complaining like a child.”

“You son of a- ugh!”

“Kirito~!” Asuna, Sinon and Silica charged right through T1G3R, before jumping on Kirito in delight, knocking him to the ground.

THUD!

“Kirito you did it~!” Silica said, her face inches away from his.

“I knew you could do it~!” Asuna said, her breasts placed firmly against his right arm.

“Was there ever any doubt that he would lose?” Sinon asked sarcastically, her breasts firmly placed against Kirito’s left arm.

“…Um could you guys please get off… you’re making a scene,” he said, seeing that a crowd was forming from the corner of his eyes.

“Kirito you perv!” Asuna yelled, releasing what they were doing. She shoved Sinon and Silica off of him, trying to hide her blushing face.

“…Sorry,” Kirito said, slowly standing to his feet.

“Kirito if you are finished messing around go get your reward~!” Sinon said, shoving him to the front where the GM was waiting for him.

“Player you have done well,” the GM said to him, holding out a white box for him to take. “Please take this as your reward.”

“Thanks,” Kirito said, opening up the box as it was handed to him, but to his surprise, there was nothing inside of it. Though just as he was about to ask about it, the box start to a glitch in his hands, before spreading inside of his body. It was seconds later that Kirito’s avatar started to glitch and then he was forcibly logged out of the game!

“What the heck was that!” Asuna yelled, seeing her boyfriend get kicked out of the game.

“UKNOWN ERROR HAS OCCURRED. ALL PLAYERS WILL BE LOGGED OUT IN THIRTY SECONDS. SYSTEM WILLENTER MAINTENCE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS!” the GM announced to everyone across the server.

“Sinon! What happened!? Did T1G3R win!?” Tia yelled over to her, running over to her friend.

“Huh? Tia, didn’t you see? Kirito won and now we’re all being logged out of the game,” Sinon said back to her. “I have no idea what’s going on. I’ll call you later since we’re running out of time.”

“…Wait… Kirito won?” Tia said confused at the exact moment that they were logged out, leaving Sinon a tad bit confused.

Though the one who was the most confused was Kirito himself. After he was forced out of the game he found his entire body aching, almost as if something was wrong. And he was right. Unbeknownst to him, Kirito had shrunk 1cm. While it wasn’t much his body could tell that something was wrong.

“Ugh, what the heck was that?” Kirito asked himself, taking off his Vr headset and rubbing his head.

BUZZ! BUZZ! BUZZ!

Kirito’s cell phone started buzzing and he picked it up to find Asuna on the other end of the call.

“Kirito are you alright~?” Asuna asked him from her side of the call. “You were forced out of the game so suddenly that we didn’t know what was going on.”

“I’m fine,” he said back to her. “I’m just a bit sore for some reason.”

“It’s not too bad is it?” she asked concerned for his health. Ever since SAO they have all had weaker bodies than most people. Therapy has helped, but there were always a few issues here and there. “Should I call Silica and tell her that we should cancel dinner with her mother and reschedule it?”

“No, I’ll be fine,” he said back to her. “I’m already started to feel a bit better with just some simple stretching. I’ll see you guys in a bit alright.”

“…Okay, just please don’t push yourself,” Asuna said, hoping that he would stay safe. Kirito loved Asuna, but she was a tad bit overprotective of him at times like this. Though not wanting to keep his friends waiting, Kirito decided to shove these feelings to the side and get dressed in his nicest and fanciest clothes. As he did he started to shrink another 1cm but he thought that it was just some more muscle pain, so he didn’t care to notice it.
