“Alice stood up, shocked that she was called out like this, as Alexis gave her a shove over to the stage. As she walked up there, she could hear Chazz mumble about him being the GX Champion, so he should be the top duelist. Though everyone else shut him up.

“Alice is one of the finest duelist Duel Academy has ever seen,” the chancellor said, introducing Alice to Viper and the others.

“We’ll see about that,” Viper said, slowly shaking Alice’s hand, before taking the microphone out of The Chancellor’s hands.

“I don’t know what rumors you have heard about me, and I do not care! My methods are harsh, but they do bring results! That is why this year, each student will wear one of these Biobands of my own creation. They will monitor all aspects of your duels and place you into your appropriate dorms. I will not take any disobedience I-”

“I’m sorry I’m late,” the boy from before yelled as he barged into the room, cutting off Professor Viper mid-sentence. Running up onto the stage.

“Mr. Anderson, most wonderous timing,” Viper said to him in a dark tone. “I needed someone to volunteer to duel Alice over here.”

“Listen up, students! The only way that you can grow stronger as duelist is to duel! That is why the first official duel of the year shall be against Duel Academy’s best Alices, Rhodes and Jesse Anderson! Let the fun begin!”

“Well, little lady, I guess I get to have that duel with you after all,” Jesse, said to Alice.

“I guess that you do,” Alice said to him. “Who would have thought that you would be the top-ranked duelist at North Academy as well as her brother,” Alice said, getting herself psyched up for this duel.”

“Oh, so you remember,” Jesse said, looking a bit relieved for some reason. “And I guess that it means that you remember this little gal, “Jesse said as Ruby Carbuncle appeared and ran up his arm. “Juliana said that the two of you met. She also told me about that special Kuriboh of yours.”

“I can’t believe that she talked about me,” Alice said to Jesse as her face started turning red.

“If that is enough flirting between the two of you, I would like it if we started the duel,” Viper said to them, before grabbing their arms and placing two of his Biobands on their wrists. “These bands will record you duel and help set a record for who is the best and who is to fail. The duel will begin in one hour, so be prepared.” Viper said as everyone left.
