“Thanks again for allowing Milagro to come,” Zatanna said to Jamie as the girls ran into the other run together.

“No problem,” he said back to her. “You know your daughter is really something. Not only did she befriend Terry’s daughter, but she also helped Milagro come out of her shell.”

“You know my family was never that happy after I told them about the scarab and then when it created the pink scarab as its own way of reproduction which attached itself to Milagro, things between us weren’t that good. They allowed me to enroll Milagro into the academy, but they didn’t want anything to do with me.”

“It thanks to your daughter that Milagro was able to help reconnect our family. While things are still a bit weird between me and my father, things are better for us.”

“You have it all wrong,” Zatanna said to him. “While I am happy for you, I can’t take the credit for what Bee did. Her past life from before probably helped Milagro, not me.”

“Zatanna, you underestimate yourself,” Jamie sad to her. “Do you really think that Bruce Wayne could have helped a young girl come out of her shell? Face it, you raised Bee into the bright energetic girl that she is. There’s barely anything left from her time as Bruce Wayne.”

“Bee is growing up in perfect environment. It almost makes me jealous. Though at least neither Bee nor Milagro has to experience the environment that Mary is living it now.”

“What do you mean?” Zatanna asked him. “I know that he can be a little cold at times, but I’m sure that he loves Mary very much.”

“More so than love, he values her by his side,” Jamie said to her. “We all know that Terry adopted her because he saw her potential, but after she learned that she could do magic, he started taking data on her as you have seen.”

“I asked the scarab to hack into Terry’s files, but most of them were impossible to crack. The ones that I did showed the truth. Three is no love in their relationship, only research. I bet that he only allowed her to come here so he could gather data on Bee as well.”

“Jamie, Terry would never do that,” Zatanna said to him, thinking that he was just playing a prank on her. “He’s a member of the League and is a hero. He would never abuse a little girl, especially his own daughter.”

“Abuse and not showing any sign of affection are different, but similar,” Jamie said to her. “I’m just telling you in case he planned something weird to use on Mary or Bee. “He’s our friend, but we all know what he is like when he finds something that interests him,” he said getting up from the couch.

“Though remember to have fun,” he said going back to his more carefree attitude. “Here’s my contact number and my parents contact number if you need to contact us. Oh, and make sure that Milagro doesn’t have any candy past 8 or she won’t go to sleep.”
