Once Alice was done eating her breakfast, Ariana and Mina led her out of the room. Adrian, Atticus, and Alexis all looked at Alice with pity in their eyes. They all knew what she was planning, but there was nothing that they could do to stop her.

Alexis herself did feel a bit guilty. To be fair one of her main reasons for having her parents adopt Alice was to try and draw her mother’s attention away from her. Though the results were justified and now Alice would have learned to love her new life, whether she wanted to or not.

“Come on sweety,” Ariana said as she held out her hand for Alice to grab, but she decided not to take it.

“I can walk just fine by myself,” said Alice as she tried to walk forward, but Mina git in her way.

“I am sorry Miss, but you must comply with your mother’s request.”

“Alice, please,” Ariana said, giving Alice puppy dog eyes.

Not wanting to upset Ariana any further she decided to comply. Ariana’s heart fluttered the moment that she saw her daughter's flushed face when she took her hand. Perhaps training her wouldn’t be that hard after all. From what she had heard Alice didn’t really have a family that cared for her before this.

“Now without further ado, let’s show you around your new home,” she said as she happily dragged Alice along with her. Mina silently walked behind them, but that was more than enough for her.

She had been employed as a maid of the Rhodes family for over ten years and she truly loved to watch these precious moments. In fact, she had a little scrapbook made up of all moments like this. She would have to make sure to retrieve her camera when she had the chance.

“This is the living room, this is the garden, this is the pool.”

Ariana happily led Alice all around the manor. The closer that she got to her special room the more energetic she became. Alice seemed to notice that as well and instinctively tried to run, but Ariana’s grip was far too strong for her to break free.

“And finally here is my favorite room of all,” said Ariana. The door before them gave Alice an ominous feeling. What could her new mother be planning?

“Mina if you would,” she said, wanting to make a grand entrance.

“As you wish,” Mina said as she opened the door to the room. After that Ariana led Alice inside to what looked like an empty room.

Confused and relieved Alice let her guard down, but it was then that Ariana took this chance to give her the second biggest shock of her life.

“Mina, please run Summer Set #3,” she said calmly to Mina. Alice didn’t understand what she was saying, but she didn’t even have to bother to ask, as the answer to her question came to her; literally.

Hundreds of dresses and frilly clothes popped out of the walls, ceiling, and floor! Each one was perfectly designed to fit Alice. Each one designed to turn her into the perfect little girl!
