Jaune lost track of how long she was there for after about a month. Day after day the jellyfish Grimm came in and started to implant memories inside of her mind. However no matter how many memories that thing put inside of her, she did not forget who she was.

Over this time she actually learned several things. For one the woman in black was an immortal witch named Salem and that here goal was to in sense conquer the world. The second thing that she learned was that the black-haired girl from the false memory that the jellyfish Grimm feed her, was actually Cinder. It would seem that Salem was trying to fill her head with sweet memories of Cinder as her caring but moody older sister and as her as a lovely but harsh mother.

The memories themselves were intoxicating. Every time it felt as she was there inside of the memories. More than once Jaune thought about giving in. To be honest it would be simpler if she did. However every time that she came close to giving up she remembered Pyrrha and what these monsters did to her. It was their fault that she died. Also she couldn’t give up as long as she knew that her friends were still out there looking for her.

“How interesting.” The door to the room opened and came in an older male, who over the weeks she came to know as Arthur Watts. “It’s been several months and you have yet to cave in. I doubt that even I any of the others besides our queen could last this long. You truly are an extraordinary specimen.”

“Go fuck yourself!” Jaune had been dealing with Watts for a while now and every time he came things only got worse for her. “I don’t need you here so get lost!” “Oh my, it would seem that you are inheriting your sisters temper. Cinder would be so proud if she could see you, but alas she is busy trying to get the relic hidden in Haven.”

“She is not my sister!” Jaune tried to punch Watts, but he was easily able to stop her. “Now, now there is no need for violence. I assure you that we only wish to make your transition as easy as possible my dear.”

“If you want to make things easy for me then get lost! I will never turn against my friends. They will save me!” “How pathetic, you are the blood child of our queen and you expect that others will help you. You’re pathetic to think that you need any of them. Your former friends held you back, but here you can finally reach your full potential.”

“Get lost!” Jaune punched Watts right in the gut before he could react and Watts then took a few steps back. “I see that you are not in much of a talking mood,” he said while he brushed down his coat. “I will come back latter after her grace has decided what to do with you.”

Watts then left the room leaving Jaune once again alone, lying on the ground. She couldn’t stand it here, but every time she tried to escape Hazel or the Grimm would bring her back. Luckily for her Hazel along with Cinder weren’t here at the moment. This meant that her two biggest obstacles would be Salem and the Grimm. However over these several months as Watts had said to her, she has been given multiple memories of how to move around the castle. In fact there was once such memory that showed her and Cinder going through a secret passageway inside this room which led them to the armory.

Jaune knew that the memory of her getting along with Cinder was fake, but she did know that the information from those memories was real. A few days ago after the jellyfish Grimm left Jaune found that the secret passageway that was in the bedroom closet was real.

When she found it she knew that it would be too risky to go the same day that she found the passage, but she knew as long as Watts was with Salem that mean that she would only have to dealt with the Grimm. Once she gets to the armory hopefully she could find a weapon that she could use and then escape. It would be a shame to leave behind her sword, but this was a sacrifice that she would have to make in order to return to her friends.

After several minutes of traveling through the dark passageway Jaune finally came out to the other side where the armory awaited her. The armory was stacked to the brim with both armor and weapons. Jaune looked around for a bit to see if she could find a weapon that could fit her new form. After looking for a while she was shocked when she came across a set of armor and a sword that looked like her own.

Upon closer inspection she discovered that the armor was hers and the sword as well. They were both resized to fit her new frame. Jaune decided that she wouldn’t question this and put the armor on. Besides the size difference the armor was the same, but unfortunately for Jaune who has only worn pants in combat, she was now wearing a dark blue combat skirt like Ruby and Weiss.

It was a bit embarrassing as it felt like she was barely wearing anything on her lower half. It felt a lot different from the dresses that Salem forced her to wear, but at least with this she could fight back now. Jaune’s sword had also been changed. It was a bit shorter and only around half as wide as it was before, but because of those changes it was now easy for her to wield it.

Jaune feeling confident ran out of the armory. Once I the halls everything was silent until Jaune got closer to the castle exit. Jaune knew that there were other secret passages that could lead her out of the castle, but she knew that those were always guarded by Grimm as well, the only way that she would stand a chance would be just to run straight through the Grimm as fast as she could.

When the first Grimm approached her she attacked it before she even realized what happened. Then when the next came by she did it again. As a male she would charge headfirst into battle and defeat the Grimm with a fusion of strength and strategy, but now it would seem like she was fighting purely on instinct. In fact when Jaune moved it felt like she was moving just like Pyrrha. It was as if her fighting style had changed completely.

When got rid of the fifth Grimm she realized that it had to be do to the fake memories. They must act as tools to make Jaune stronger, but if you were just looking at techniques then that didn’t account for how nimble she felt. She was fighting in ways that her previous body could only dream of doing.

Once she returned to Ruby and the other it would be easier to fight with them on their level. She would no longer hold them back. This was great.

By the time Jaune had made it outside she had defeated ten Beowolf Grimm by herself. Once outside the main castle doors she saw that the entrance of the castle was nowhere near close enough to the ground. Also when she got a closer look she saw that there where thousands of Grimm below. Jaune knew that if she went down there that she wouldn’t stand a chance.

However Jaune wasn’t going to be traveling her way to Haven on foot, because right across from her was a landing pad with a Haven four person airship! With that Jaune should have no problem reaching Haven and returning to her friends.

Jaune was about to run to the airship when she felt a dark presence behind her. When she turned around it was none other than Salem that stood in front of her.

“My dearest daughter I hope that you have had fun with your silly game and that you come back with me where you belong.” “I will never be your daughter! I will escape and there is nothing that you can do to stop me!”

Salem looked at Jaune with a smile on her face. “Joan, my precious daughter, you are strong, but that does not mean that you are stronger than me.”
