"Ahhh, October, your awesome beauty compels my spirit to soar like a leaf caught in the autumn breeze."

It’s been a beautiful beginning to Fall for me here in the mountains. The changing season brought some cooling of the weather, but not too much. Just enough to smell the freshness of autumn. The glowing of the colors on the trees as the sun shines through.

I’ve been enjoying various hikes to find new places!

Exploring the unknown realms of this land. To find spots that make me feel like I am on top of the world!!

Soaring so high like I was able to touch the clouds.

I've always been the girl to lay in the grass looking up at the clouds or stars in complete wonder.

I have found my perch above the trees. Where I could gaze upon the land like a bird.

Feeling the contrast of the warm sun and the cool breeze on my skin.  This hike has been glorious so far...where else would it lead me?

Have you ever followed paths you have no idea where they lead? I took a chance on this one. I like to plan out my hiking destinations, so I know ahead of time what lake or mountain top is at the end. This one was different.

Last year October was colder than expected here. Like winter was coming early. This year, it has still been warm enough to bathe in the rivers and creeks. Only if you like year around chilly waters of course haha.

Tucked away in the bushes I sat by the small creek. Unseen by anyone who may walk by.

Well, I’ll be….

Starting to think every trail in Colorado leads to some kind of Lake. 😂✨

October has been such a beautiful month. Not only just for the beauty nature has shown me.

I’ve been loving the fall activities. I’ve gone to my local Renaissance festival, bike riding through the yellow aspens, apple picking, and drank hot cider (which I now know I don't really like, haha) !!

I’d love to know how October has been for you?! What have you been most excited about?

As always, thank you for your continued support here. I really appreciate it.

All my love,

Jess ♥️

They shut the road through the woods Seventy years ago. Weather and rain have undone it again, And now you would never know There was once a road through the woods Before they planted the trees. It is underneath the coppice and heath, And the thin anemones. Only the keeper sees That, where the ring-dove broods, And the badgers roll at ease, There was once a road through the woods.
