definitely one of the best arcs in the series, and leads into another of the best arcs right after this. Although the toilet paper fight in the Yagyu arc remains peak Gintama IMO.

Physically, Gin is nothing particularly special as far as protagonists go, but mentally, he's in a class of his own.

My absolute favorite episode in Gintama, and probably in anime as a whole. I only gained even more appreciation for it by rewatching the show, there are so many little moments with Gin's character that connect to his past, everything sort of clicks and explains his extremely protective nature. So happy that you're loving it

The fact that Gin is able to act like such a goofball after everything he's gone through is just incredible. It's my favorite part of his character for sure.
