I love the look of the main alien body (redhead with big boobs). They actually made a porn parody of her and rick, with real porn stars (just saying *wink wink* 👀 And that ending scene is so powerful. You can really see rick's pain. And i love the song they used! I used to listen to that song on repeat so much when i first watched this episode! It's called "do you feel it" by chaos chaos

Rick is a more complex character than most in these kinds of shows. He comes off as nihilistic, absurd, selfish, lacking empathy, and he basically lives his life in a way that challenges authority and questions the necessity of social norms and taboos. Challenging authority is pretty much his primary motivation all the time lol which makes him different from most of the other Ricks in other dimensions. But his character is interesting in that you know he cares about things, including his family, to the point he numbs himself with alcohol and drugs. But his improvement in himself is usually not immediately obvious or he lies about it/denies it, sliding back to his old ways. It makes for an interesting tug-of-war where he does learn lessons, questions his own values, and improves on himself, but he often has moments where he gives in to his worst character traits. Also the voice of hive mind Beta 7 is done by Patton Oswalt.

Honestly, Jerry is Jerry, but throughout the series, I think he consistently makes the most good points, even if saying that makes me cringe.

I do actually hate it when two people love one another but all they do is bring the worst parts out of each other. No one is wrong, it's just a bad chemical reaction. Its a tragedy. I think Unity showed it was a benevolent entity, even though it robbed that planet of individuality. This episode presented a complex issue with no simple solution.

Worst part is that it feels right when you're in a relationship like that, even if you both know it's wrong. One of the things that keeps people in check is how others will respond, and if you have one personal that gives you absolute approval, and can be all the social roles you crave, then that check is gone.
