Kei has one line in particular in the first episode that I really really like when she and Miki are arguing about whether they should take a chance and leave or continue sitting around, waiting to be rescued: "Why is it always me? It makes me look so selfish." It's not really talked about, but the show does a good job of showing what she means: Miki's the shy, quiet type. In their friendship, Kei is always the one forced to make the hard decisions. Miki really grows a lot over the course of this series. It's just a sentiment to keep in mind going forward, as she's faced with more challenges in the aftermath of losing the much braver friend she'd always relied on.

God I love this show and I can't believe they left Megu-nee like that but I'm pretty sure it just the show being cheeky by not showing her you know the "you have little presence" joke. Anyways I'm proud of Miki leaving the mall even if it was stupid to leave without a weapon. Like Kurumi is the fighter in our group but neither Kei or Miki had a weapon on they when the left like not even a knife or something come on. I know there is no guns but something to protect yourselves like the shovel at least if your going out there.

That's part of what makes their escape scene so great though. Ri-san's use of glow sticks and that alarm to distract them. It's almost... MacGyver-ish, how they use what they do have on hand.

Yeah don't get me wrong that was great but what I was saying is that Kei nor Miki had a weapon on them. They were in what look like a break room for the mall employees so they should be something in there to use even if its not a real weapon. They were in there for at least a few days you telling me neither one search for something to use in case they get in? In that case both of them are a bit stupid. Of course I know they just kids and they scared out of their minds but think people think.
