While Rick is an asshole like 99% of the time, small moments like in this episode show that he really does care about Morty. He realized what happened to Morty in the bathroom and tried to cheer him up by doing something Morty would enjoy, and then made sure to get revenge before leaving.

I'm Mr. Meeseeks, look at me! Jerry is such a putz lol Also Beth is Rick's daughter, so she's extremely smart but she also has a lot of his bad qualities, too. She can be obnoxious at times.

The Meeseeks are just so damn interesting. They are straight up the opposite of humans existentially. They know exactly what they have to do and they are seeking to end their existence.

I would do the exact same thing Rick did if i ever found out a pervert tried to have their way with any of my kids when they were still children. I would beat him to an inch of his life while my dogs bit him. I absolutely hate pedophiles. Especially here in Ireland, we really don't like pedos. Rick may be an asshole but at least he cares for his grandson

I find Jerry more obnoxious than Beth. Jerry is clearly aloof to his family's wants and needs. His wife is unhappy because he is far from a decent husband, never mind his absentee skills as a father. He does love his wife and kids, but he also disappoints them routinely. Not to say Beth is much better, but I think Jerry is worse. When Rick shot the Jellybean I cheered. He's a douche and an ass, but that right there is proof that he does care about Morty.

Beth seeming like a bitch is certainly understandable given that she is Rick's daughter. Damn likable as he may be, he does exhibit those same attributes often throughout the show.
