One thing i found interesting about the op for the anime is that their are a lot of references to famous movies, like pulp fiction, the big lebowski etc.

oh hell yeah! I've read a few chapters of the manga myself after seeing the hype for the anime and I've gotta say it's definitely lived up to the hype from what I've seen

I am not normally a fan of the gory anime, but this one is one of the so extreme ones that it just somehow cancels itself for me. Looking forward to this series.

This anime is similar to One Punch Man (season 1) in that the studio brought in a bunch of outside talent specifically to make this series, so high expectations for the quality of this season.

After all the shit the Yakuza put Denji through, I'd be worried if he DIDN'T have fun slaughtering them with chainsaws. That level of catharsis would be lethal in normal humans. Now here's a question: Would Doomguy and Denji get along? Or would he see Denji as a demon and try to kill him? I'd like to think Doomguy would approve of his lifestyle of killing devils, but disapprove of his means for doing so (the whole getting his abilities from a devil thing).
