Jackie Chun’s talk with Tien may not have been much impactful now, but later on it’ll definitely have a effect on him. I’m probably one of the few who actually liked Tien from this early on and when we see his transition from bad guy to good guy it actually makes his character and his story that much more likable.

Yeah, Tien has always been a favorite to me and I honestly think he should have been given more importance but I think Krillin got it more on the fact that he's Goku's best friend than his fighting ability tbh. Don't get me wrong I love Krillin but as a fighter, I think Tien could have been great, but as usual, Toriyama tends to sideline nearly everyone.

Yea, I'm thinking Roshi's Talk No Jutsu will definitely have some sort of impact. I have to admit, though, if I didn't know of Tien's eventuality, I would have a REALLY strong distaste for him.
