Remember when we first met Tama, she met Ace because he came to Wano. So just like how Luffy promised Tama he would make sure she had an abundant of food to eat after defeating Kaido. Well, Ace actually made that same promise first before Luffy, so Ace went to Onigashima to try to fight Kaido, but only ended up matching Yamato

I wish Ace didn’t die when he did, we’re meant to see a character who is weaker than base Luffy as seriously as current threats like Katakuri and the all stars

Well that's the thing tho, Ace wasn't weak. He just had REALLY bad luck for having to fight Blackbeard and Akainu. Those two guys are at abnormal power levels. Ace was definitely around the same power level as all the Emperor Commanders, that's why he was granted 2nd Division of Whitebeard's crew.

Ulti made "a pun" how Kaido's Thunder Bagua (Raimei Hakke, "Thunderclap Eight Trigrams") is more powerful than Yamato's Thunder BADua ("...Four Trigrams"). One translation for manga used Blunder Bagua.

Idk why they revealed that, For every 2 things Toei does right they end up doing 1 thing wrong. It was an unnecessary spoiler, especially since it gets revealed next episode.

I don't think there was any misguided optimism from Chopper or Usopp, Brachio tank really did it, it kept them alive and without a scratch. After being slapped around by an Emperor that's a pretty impressive feat. It also sets up the potential for Franky as well, just what is he actually capable of, and what is his tech capable of post-time skip? We've never seen it.

Well it’s not just his tech alone, it’s mainly the durability of the Wapometal made by Wapol. Maybe it’s the Munch Munch awakening?, but regardless it makes objects quite durable. Franky’s crafting is something I’m looking more forward to learn about especially if he were to get his hands on Queen’s technology as well.
