Yamcha is certainly much more skilled than I would have given him credit for! However, I do think 3-Eyes eventually wins out.

During the beginning of the fight between Tien and Yamcha, in this episode in the dub version they cut out a song called Wolf Hurricane, which is Yamcha’s theme song. This is the fight that made me lose all respect for Yamcha. Tien beat him so badly that it genuinely makes me laugh my ass off. I would say this is when the downfall of Yamcha begins.

In dragon ball Yamcha was legit. But once you even get into the begging of dragon ball Z he quickly becomes overshadowed. However that having been said if you weren't a saiyan or piccolo than you got overshadowed in Z.

I think the next episode is the most disrespect for yamcha cause even the episode title is just a joke aimed at yamcha, and I'd honestly mark it as the real beginning of his downfall.
