I feel so sorry for Roger.... He knew how strong Buggy was flashily becoming and sacrificed himself to avoid admitting defeat. And Shanks is crying because the crew disbanded so he won’t have Buggy to protect him anymore 🤡

So a quick note on Izou, kiku's older brother who stayed with Whitebeard, we've actually met him before. He was there at Marineford as one of the division captains and helped Luffy reach Ace. Goda strikes again!

One ruler Will be born mermaid princess, another will be born in a distant sea my guess Luffy. I love that Roger assumed it would be Ace who would succeed him. Not even he could imagine what would actually happen. No not your son but your best friend/enemy's grandson

It's a Shame that the Roger pirates didn't go with Oden to his house for a meal, things definitely would have turned out differently even without Roger. With Rayleigh and Gaban tagging along, and if Buggy found out oh boy rip orchi.

It sucks that Oden could not have Whitebeard and Roger's crew to tag along in the presumable war to come. No doubt both crews would be furious as they both cared about Oden's family. That island where they dropped Roger off is where he will meet the woman who will become Ace's mother.

The Sea Kings said that when the Two Sovereigns meet the Whales will sing cheerfully. We already saw this happen at the end of Fishman Island, in chapter 654. So it means Shirahoshi met the other ruler when the Straw Hats came. But I don’t think it’s Luffy, I actually think it’s Nami. Earlier in that arc when Shirahoshi first met Nami, she mentioned how meeting Nami gives her a feeling of comfort from a distant past. So it’s meant to reference the motherly figure of Nami, but Oda is known for placing double meanings in plain site. So it could also be implying that Nami may be more special than we ever realized. Furthermore when the whales are singing happily as the Straw Hats leave Fishman Island we get a panel that focuses on a whale smiling at Luffy and Nami. So it could be that Luffy is Joyboy, but Joyboy may not have been the second sovereign. Instead it could Luffy is Joyboy while both Shirahoshi and Nami are the two rulers.

Bit of a late comment, since I'm catching up on episodes, but I noticed a recurring theme since the time skip, of the antagonists being modeled to fit someone else's agenda. Feel like I could word that better, but basically, Hody, Doflamingo, Big Mom, Orochi, they all were kids when someone came along and turned them towards what they became later in life. Hody was more, multiple people including Arlong passing on their prejudice, but the idea still holds. No idea if this has any real significance, just something I realized about the time skip after I first saw Orochi's backstory.
