the Type 97 Computational Orb that Tanya's battalion uses by the way, is based off of Tanya's own Type 95, the only difference is instead of it being a Quad core, theirs don't require prayer and are Duel core, so they're a lot weaker then Tanya's orb, but far stronger then any other mages, also Tanya has a copy of one of those orbs as well, because she doesn't want to rely on Being X's power. The anime loses a decent amount of the military strategy from the light novels by the way, this era being the start of aerial combat is made a huge deal of. The reason Tanya was able to invade Dakia so easily is because of this, Dakia's military leaders are still stuck in conventional 2D warfare, they don't really have a mage airforce, so when Tanya's Battalion attacked them Dakia stuck to military doctrine, treating the attack like a cavalry rush, meaning that Dakia's soldiers all bunched up together, which is fine if it was a cavalry rush they were against, that would usually stop individual soldiers from being picked off, but they were facing aerial bombing from mages, so huddling all together while being bombed made yourself a prime target, meaning their numerical advantage was worthless, the only one who realized this was Tanya, because she understood aerial combat from our worlds history, that's why Lieutenant Weiss tried backing off. Also Dakia didn't hide its military command posts, for the same reason, they didn't consider that people could just fly over them and bomb them, meaning their command structure disintegrated in minutes after Tanya joined the battle.

Tanya is one of my favourite anime characters for a reason lol, every scene with her is so much fun, she can get a bit too cocky at times, but you can see why lol. oh by the way, since you're liking the series so much, I'd definitely consider "So I'm a Spider, So What?" as a possibility for the $1 level in the future, the main character is very... "Tanya" like, she even has the same voice actress, it's definitely one I'll be pushing for in the suggestion threads after Dragonball and one piece.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet but since it is my favorite bit of trivia here: Her "you are no longer maggots" speech is a direct copy of the speech from Full Metal Jacket, basically just replacing Marines with Mages.

Love how Tanya tries to scare off all the recruits so she doesn't have a unit to work with, instead she turns them into badasses who will follow her through hell. Mission successfully failed.
