Up until now, we've never seen Goku in so much danger during a fight. Even Blue and his paralysis wasn't enough to beat him. It really feels like a turning point for the show.

These last three episodes have been the pinnacle of nostalgia for me. Obviously I watched it on TV but episodes 58,59, and 60 were the first three episodes I bought on a vhs tape. My "allowance" as a kid was returning pop bottles, which is 10 cents per bottle here in Michigan. So I saved up enough and whenever my mom went to Walmart and allowed me to go with her I would buy what I could with the money I saved up over the years from the bottles and the first cassette I bought of dragon ball were these three episodes for 10 bucks. And to pay 10 bucks back then is like paying 16 now for 3 episodes in English only no special features... Man these episodes really take me back.
