This is it! The week we begin WANOOOO!!⛩ Now that we’re about to start Wano, it’s important to know about this. Wano Arc is structured as a Kabuki play acts Just like in real Kabuki, in between acts there will be intermissions and we will head back to the Reverie since all the events are occurring simultaneously and Wano is closed off to the rest of the world. The acts structure are called “Jo-ha-kyū” (序破急) Jo-ha-kyū translates as “beginning, break, rapid” So essentially all actions begin slowly, speed up, and then end swiftly. Kabuki plays can typically last as short as 3 acts and as long as 9 acts As of this moment Wano has 3 acts. - Jo (Act 1) — Intermission (Reverie) - Ha (Act 2) — Intermission (Reverie) - Ha (Act 3) (Current) Act 3 has been going on for exactly 2 years now in the manga There is a debate speculating if we there will be 5 Acts or the current Act 3 will be the last one of the arc. I personally believe Wano will have 4 acts and then afterwards we have a “Post Wano Arc”. Curtis and anyone else who found this helpful just keep all this information as we go through this arc.

It’s so weird to think that you’re about to begin the Wano arc which is the arc the manga is still currently on. Wano started in the manga over 3 years ago and we probably still have several months before it’ll be completely finished.

James West

You seem like you have a really good understanding of the series, so let me ask you two questions. 1. Are you Team Y or Team C? 2. When do you think Wano ends.

I am beyond excited for you to get into Wano and see more of Kaido. It is easily one of the best arcs imo.

Funny how Dressrosa and Whole Cake were just pit stops to the greater arc that is Wano. It's been building up since the 600's when Law proposed to Luffy the alliance to bring down Kaido. i know you're going to love Wano. The animation, story telling, new characters, and style are amazing. Toei gave the staff all the money to make this arc the best it could possibly be. Brace yourself! Wano is epic as hell.

If what the previous comment said is accurate, then Wano may end up concluding like mid 2022 for the manga.

I think you couldn't have chosen better thumbnail for today's video. 😂 Also Marco saw first hand how crazy Luffy is during the Paramount War, so why is he so surprised 🤣

Bringing this up again before we get to it. The next 2 actual filler episodes are movie tie-ins, which can be easily skipped. However, episode 907 is a 20th Anniversary special episode of Oda's second draft of the Romance Dawn episode! (One Piece is based off his 3rd/final draft) It is non-cannon and basically takes place in an alternate One Piece Universe/Timeline, but I definitely think it's worth the watch, especially with how much you enjoy the show!

Speaking of Blackbeard, he is the only Emperor we have not seen since the timeskip. Eventually we will have to see him, but hopefully it’s a good reintroduction in the timeskip.

DevilJynx

We briefly saw him when Luffy's bounty went up to 1.5 Billion and Morgans named him the "5th Emperor" But yeah overall the Yonko saga focuses more on Big Mom and Kaido.
