And that's the end of the Whole Cake Island Arc. FYI, the next Arc is actually still in progress (granted, there are several dozen episodes out for it) but you'll most likely catch up with the weekly airing episodes before it finishes. Then you get to feel the pain of us anime watchers and our never ending weekly waits, muhahahahaha! Either that or you just move on to another series and come back later heh.

It's a "blink and you miss it" type deal, but the guy that finally dealt with Jerk-Off Genie was the one Fishman named Aladdin. My headcannon involves him yelling, "This is for the stupid Jack Nicholson impression when I needed you to be my wingman!"

Sanji may have caused the destruction of the strawhats lad. Not going to lie but I laughed evily when the sunny was hit by the canonballs. I know this is Luffy's story but I don't know why I laughed and said "hahaha take that strawhats!!" Hehehe I really like big mom ok? Also funny story but when Matilda, one of my granddaughters, got married she reacted and said the same thing as big mom when she tasted her wedding cake 😆😆. She was like "this is it!!! My wedding cake-eehh!!!" 😆😆😆 Well lad this indeed was a bad end musical for the strawhats, Germa, and Jimbei's crew.

I remember the manga making this look really bad. There was far less emphasis on the song and lyrics and more on big mom celebrating while the straw hat ship was destroyed

My mom and I were watching these weekly when Big Mom started having her "weddingu cake-ee" rants like every episode, and after hearing that so much, my mom was so happy when Big Mom finally got to eat the damn cake, I remember that she cried tears of joy! Afterwards I bought her a custom Big Mom t-shirt with that thumbnail as the picture and the words "Wedding Cake!" and once again she cried tears of joy 👌 Pretty sure Big Mom is one of her favorite villains now 😂

I believe that's the last musical bit for this arc and I have to say chef's kiss to how the animation studio handled with entire arc. Coming back to it makes me want to say its my favorite one overall, but Marineford is just soo damn hard to top. It's one of the longer arcs, but I felt like the pacing was done better here than it was with Dressrosa, which don't get me wrong, I liked that arc too, but the padding, my god the padding. But yeah, looks like you'll finish this arc this week and begin a short, but very important arc next week and after that its off to Wano!. :) Glad you enjoyed Whole Cake.

There’s definitely something weird going on in the bodies of One Piece characters. Luffy and Brook regrow bone with a little milk. Luffy runs of 100s of thousands of calories within a minute or 2. Big mom loses 1000s of pounds in the course of a day and regains if all back by eating a single super cakeeee. I know I’m missing plenty but

Curtis: Dances to Big Mom's song. Straw Hats and Germa: "We're fighting for our fucking lives" I remember getting to this chapter and all I could think is that the Straw Hats either just got captured without a ship, or were all killed and we were about to swap to the Zoro show. Look, the last time I got my hopes up about a character getting away from an overwhelmingly powerful force, we lost Ace.
