IzzO

the cheeky dude with a sun in his hat that spits nails, fighting the germas

DevilJynx

I guess you can say this was a "shocking" moment :P

I cringe every time I hear his voice and it's not Franky or Bon chan.😨

Some people might say this is an asspull, but it totally makes sense. Zeus is made out of big mom's soul. Hence, hes easily distracted by tasty food. This attack of Namis, hit big mom harder than anything Luffy could do at this point of the story. 😂 In a sense, she surpassed him.

Wouldnt it be awesome if she could lure Prometheus away with some tasty oxygen balls or something, make him bigger and attack big mom with fire ?

Preet

I lost it at the guy named high-fat LMAO

No, we know how this works in anime. The Villain is seemingly ingulfed in a massive blast and it is animated as if they were vaporized then in the very next episode the attack dissipates and the villain only has a few scratches to show for the attack.

This episode completely reinforces my hatred for Oda for not killing off Enel, so that his lightning fruit could be reincarnated into the world and perhaps one day come to Nami. Nami with a Logia Lightning Fruit would've been equal parts OP and amazing

Brother E

Nami doesn’t need Enel’s rumble fruit. Also Enel still has an important role to play into the story because of everything he’s uncovered with the moon. It’s clear that Oda is setting Nami’s power levels based on Sun Wukong

Lewd Angel

As far as i know, Enel has only appeared on the little cover stories, which i cannot imagine are going to tie into the main story in any kinda super important way, Oda is infamous for making past villains irrelevant, Crocodile is the only one that got any real spotlight. And how on earth is Nami connected to Sun Wukong? Beyond the fact that they both wield a similar weapon, i don't see a single similarity, and even then Sun was a literal god, Nami is to this day cowering behind others as they do all the work.

2022-12-30 22:31:00 Enel’s cover story is 100% important to the main story; it hints at people coming from the moon, I’m, & potentially the BIG hat. He’s gonna return and give us some info dump and possibly be an ally. Nami is definitely based off of Sun Wukong; she’s got the power pole and now she just got Zeus. Also Sun Wukong is able to control weather and can even manipulate clouds. Oda tends to take lots of mythological references and mold them as a basis of his characters. In this case he’s molded Nami based off of Sun Wukong; as for cowering, Oda’s obviously taking his time to build her character and eventually being able to fight strong opponents later in the series.

I don't see any of this happening tbh, but neat references to the mythology though, didn't catch that.

I love Zeus's little cap and goofy face. He just makes me laugh.

This information is not known yet lewd angel, please do not read any further if you don’t want extremely extremely mild spoilers that aren’t actually giving you any information About what specifically happens It becomes a lot more obvious in the current arcs all the mythological connections and the importance of them in the story, do not feel bad about missing all of it, because for one, all of the sun wukong stuff is pure speculation. Let’s just be real, Nami is a glass cannon and not a true fighter... also yeah, Enel cannot die at this point, Skypeia lore wise is the most important in the entire story IMO, it holds all the secrets to the show and the world

Brother E

@Nathan S I agree with your notion about Enel As far as Nami; she's definitely a glass canon, but that doesn't mean she's not a fighter. Obviously not your traditional Shonen fighter, but nonetheless Nami is an EXCELLENT support fighter as well as a long ranged fighter. I won't get into spoilers, but the way Oda has setup her character and power up in Wano shows that he plans on giving her more battles in the near future. The Sun Wukong references have been around since Alabasta because of the Clima Tact and how she was able to manipulate weather, BUT it's definitely got more attention now ever since Zeus has been introduced into the story. I am not surprised people are not going to catch mythological or historical references in the story but they're available for those who wish to dig deeper into analyzing the series. There's like a SHIT TON of references everywhere lmao
