Don’t get me wrong, I despise Amber as much as any rational adult, but I don’t think it’s that far fetched for her to realise the guy who shows up every time her boyfriend leaves for 10 minutes who has the exact same hair and body type might actually be her boyfriend

MWS

I love the fact that we thought the Viltrumites were like the lantern Corps but they were Saiyans all along 😂😂😂

Brandon Nowakowski

The thing that Amber had a problem with was that Mark let their relationship go as far as it did without ever telling her, all the while making promises and then not keeping them with, let's be real here, pretty limp (fake) excuses. Don't get me wrong, she totally could've handled it better, but so could Mark. They're teenagers. They're gonna make mistakes. At the end of the day though, if you want someone to commit to you, you need to respect them enough to be honest, which for Mark was too little too late, at least in Amber's eyes. If you can't do that, then a more responsible thing to do would be to either date another superhero or not date anyone. Game Grumps actually had a very interesting discussion about this while it was still airing.

It's sad to see Mark, when he gets the first indication his dad is an evil fuck he immediately goes to believing that something is controlling him

Florian Krause

Fahter, what you are doing is inhuman! Yeah, but it is no insaiyan (inviltrom)! yeah, this episode hits heavy. the pet line was really weird.

Couldn't disagree more. When you're not being honest with someone because you fear that honesty could endanger their lives, then I think you get a bit of a pass. He wasn't being dishonest because he wanted to cheat or something; he was deceptive to protect her from the responsibilities and danger he was now involved with. Then, when everything does come out and the details of why there was deception are there become clear, and there's still consternation, then I think it's better for Mark to move on.

That subway scene was brutal.... I'm so invested xD is it tomorrow yet? lol

True the pet line is weird and devastating but not that wierd when you look at it from Nolans perspective. He will live for at least another few centuries (I am guessing) so his time with Debra (the wife I believe that is her name) is a tiny span of that lifeand he can have a similar thing with another dozen or so humans by the time he dies. It is like us and when we get a dog/cat they will live 10-15 years roughly a small span of our total lives and can always be replaced if so desired.

I am pretty fascinated with Omni man's change in this episode, he's obviously a monster, created by his culture in which "might equals right" is pretty much the mindset he's been raised in and has lived with for thousands of years during his lifetime. The 17 years he's lived on earth is sorta the equivalent of having dinner with some strangers that was ordered to spy on and sabotage if his lifespan were of a normal human. Yet that brief period of time (in his perspective) and the connection he built with his son was enough for him to abandon his mission (not sure if temporarily or permanently) after a lifetime of indoctrination. I wonder if there have been any real life examples like that where someone was able to make a life changing decision after just a short encounter they weren't expecting.

Where his mind goes from here is absolutely fascinating to me. However, the one concern for me would always be, when something is as indoctrinated into someone as is the whole "superior race" thing with Nolan, would it be possible to ever completely trust him?

Curtis: Posts comment on the wrong video Me: Are you copying me? I literally did that for my big friggin comment on Amber in the wrong video and that was also a One Piece Video.

Mr.Host

The voice acting in this episode is so fucking good.

Finally I can talk about Nolan's race and all that which I had ben waiting for, for so long. While Nolan and his race are no doubt inspired by Superman, but his race is more similar to the Saiyans from Dragon Ball. They are like Saiyan in the sense they are part of a massive galaxy spanning empire that no one really wants to mess with. The obvious difference is Viltrum it's own empire where the Saiyan were adopted into Freeza and King Cold's Empire. What I find really interesting is (From what Nolan said to Mark) how Viltrum takes its world in contrast from the Saiyans. Low Class Saiyan's go to low level worlds as babies and what they essentially do is wipe out the local intelligent inhabitants with their powerful Ape Form. They basically wipe out the civilizations there and then sell those planets to another race. Higher class Saiyan's do essentially the same thing only their adults. From what gathered from the tid bits that Nolan said, his race as of right now sends lone warriors out to planets in the guise of a new protector. They instead wipe out the planets defenses, in Earth's case its greatest defenders who were the Guardians of the Globe. Then they "welcome" them into the Viltrum Empire. If they give in and join then they get advanced technology and alignment with a strong alien race. If they resist then its probably like Nolan said, Death.

Sean PaulT60

That would be logical... if they didn't just have a scene where she was crying, yelling at Mark for abandoning them during the cyborg attack. It was obvious that scene was made before the writers decided to make it to where she knew all along. It's not a character issue for me but instead a writing issue.

"WHAT WILL YOU HAVE AFTER 500 YEARS!?" "One Piece Dad, I'd still have One Piece"

Real girls: Working out, eating healthy and applying makeup Anime girls: "Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power!"

Cetacean Needed

This is where you finally get to see that the viltrumites were really the saiyans all along. They even have the whole "not really getting serious at the beginning of the fight" shtick, though that'll become far more apparent when they show what viltrumites are actually capable of. Suffice it to say that the wannabe cthulhu didn't *really* stand a chance. Now all they need is a Freeza and the parallels will be complete.

Personally I never cared for Marks and Ambers relationship as soon as she said she was a feminist I would have been out.

A someone who lives a little over an hour from Chicago, this episode hit harder than the rest. Also, the way Omniman said "pathetic" to Mark made me think of when Vegeta said that to Cell in dbza

Brings new light to what Omni Man told those invading aliens when he said, "You don't seem to understand that Earth... isn't yours... to conquer."

Miklar Sihn

I kinda think you have to look at how omni man sees us like we see ants. Killing us isnt really anything to think about, because in relative moments those people will be dead. Combine that with him being pretty much a literal Nazi and you get why he almost killed his son.
