Yeah for a sniper, 270 meters (that's just short of 300 yards for you Americans) isn't really that big of a deal. The current record is held by a Canadian Special Forces Sniper who made a shot during the Iraqi Civil War at 3540 meters (3871 yards, roughly the equivalent of two miles). Though I do gotta admit being able to destroy another sniper's weapon and wound another in the shoulder is pretty impressive for any sniper. Given the fact they're usually trained to kill their targets.
