Yes, the "We had sex" scene to follow the drunk Nagisa scene. There were many Clannad memes back in the day about this. Also, this anime came out several years before Gurren Lagann, I like to think their sunglasses were inspired by dad here.

I think this show is the only show I have seen where two people start out as strangers, then friends, end up together, get married, and have the wife get pregnant, and the only physically intimate thing shown was hand holding. Pretty wholesome xD Also Akio must have learned rapping from Killer Bee or something lol

If you didn't catch it, the reason Tomoya was so bothered by the restaurant is because it was built on the road that he and Nagisa took when they walked to school every day. The trees they walked past every day are gone now. Tomoya is a very interesting character. In the beginning of the series he hated this town because it reminded him of his father and made him depressed, but now that he's made a lot of happy memories with Nagisa, he's changed his mind and loves this town and doesn't want it to keep changing.
