There should be 2 movies or ova coming up after this season. On YT they show up as episode 77 and 78 but they're both a hour long or so. Just something to keep in mind so we don't skip them incase they're not on the list

I see your point in that it would be effective for Date to mess with Ippos mentality but I feel like thats something maybe a person in real life would do and not the way the character is written. I get the feeling that the creator wrote Date as an honorable champion with alot of resolve and would maybe save writing those tactics for a less confident fighter tbh. idk I guess thinking Date would resort to that would make me lose some respect towards him. At this point in the series I think its safe to argue that the creator mixes real boxing and romanticism when he writes Hajime no Ippo
