As someone who watched the first two episodes of the remake... Then binged all 60 episodes of the original series in order to understand the remake I can guarantee you it’s going to be an interesting ride.

Your reaction was hilarious and exactly how I felt the first time I watched this series. It honestly takes at least 2 watches to catch all the details and story elements from this series. I love how they leave in that intro to remind you just how messed up things can get. You also got introduced to my favorite crazy laugh in anime at the start as well. Can’t wait to see the rest of the reactions. My favorite mystery/horror series.

Now, I doubt that Curtis (or anyone, for that matter) would be able to fully figure out what's going on, but I am curious if he'll be able to start piecing things together after this arc. The pieces will be there, it's just a matter of putting them together. Though that's only part of it, but the exact specifics are barely even hinted at before Season 2. Still, I'm really looking forward to this. Higurashi is one of my favorite shows to watch reactions tofor that exact reasons. I remember having my best friend watch it, having him talk through his theory after episode 4 about how Rika would be the actual hero, and unravel the conspiracy, yada yada, then episode 5 starts with her stabbing herself in the head and blew that theory out of the water. Good times. Honestly, the only things that I'm sad about is just that this is a monthly series, so now we've gotta wait another month for the next episode... Well, back to rewatching it for the 5 time because I really love this show.
