Between the bullies and barf boy Ippo's gaining quite the little fan club. And I do respect Barf boy for sticking with the roadwork

Something Ippo does better than almost any other shonen (or maybe even the best) is having the time transition. It’s by necessity because the show is trying to be realistic for his boxing career, but it’s still refreshing how consistently the show allows for the passage of time compared to other shows (looking at you, Pokémon!)
