I guess desperate times do, indeed, require desperate measures!

VP was covering for Kanzaki because he was worried about the school's reputation, his way of thinking is very old fashioned like that. It's one of the reasons he's such a good foil for Onizuka.

She was born using in vitro fertilization with a donor, rather than hooking up with a smart person, though it was a little vague in the anime I think. Also I think I read somewhere that in the manga, a few members of the motorcycle gang shared their horrible life experiences to Kanzaki (that couldn't be shown on the anime for various reasons). The lesson was that even though they had a terrible past, they are able to not dwell on it and enjoy the present. Also that what Kanzaki went through pales in comparison to what they went through.

Yea, I get that, but it just would seem that there's gotta be some line that, when crossed, invalidates concern's about reputation! :-D

So the mask thing, with that nazi symbol shouldn't actually be cause of the nazi, as the symbol was originally meaning good luck and auspiciousness, just nazi's had to ruin it. Also if anyone know more on this feel free to add, I just know the basic outline of the original meanin

I know this anime is 20 years old, but I'm still surprised they didn't censor the swastika. On one translation I read, what Onizuka says in the room is: "he is going to open up Urumi's stuck butthole" which of course caused some misunderstanding with the female teacher and the guys 😂

In the manga, everything goes much the same. However, when it's shifting around, showing onizukas gang, they are all talking about terrible and tragic things from their past and laughing about it. Stuff from parental abandonment, to problems in school, to sexual abuse. And Onizuka told her that she could always find a place there to discuss her problems, if she needed to.

Yea, now that you mention it, I remember someone in comments having mentioned at a prior time that the Nazi insignia was referenced that it was an existing symbol that was corrupted... I'd like to learn more about that. :-)

As someone has mentioned before yes Urumi is the result of In Vitro. Which around the time this was released had a lot more of a stigma attached to it as far as Japan is concerned. Hence why her mother told her to never tell anyone. Urumi's mother was incredibly cold, hyper-rational and detached. Not exactly the qualities that make a good mother, like on paper Urumi never starved or anything like that. But there was no real emotional attachment between the two. Really her only qualifications for motherhood were a womb and the financial means to raise a child. Hence why Urumi started viewing Miss Fujimori as a substitute mother. They don't really show this in the Anime, in fact it doesn't show up until much later in the Manga, which goes way past what the Anime covers. Also yeah biker gangs were at one point very popular in Japan. There used to be a total of 45,510 bikers in Japan. They're called Bosozoku which literally translates to "running out of control" (using the Japanese word that refers to a vehicle running out of control) tribes. They have a very distinctive style, both in the way they dress and how they modify their bikes. They're usually quite found of the displaying the Japanese Imperial Flag, of the Rising Sun. Some of them in fact kind of hero worship Kamikaze pilots, right down to wearing Rising Sun headbands similar to what Kamikaze's used to wear. Quite often they end up being something akin to a recruiting ground for the Yakuza or the Japanese Mafia.
