I agree with you that a professional boxer's career is by no means short. There are 40+ year old boxers, so unless you sustain any lasting injuries, you can step into the ring for a long time. That's especially true because experience can compensate a LOT for slower reflexes, lack of speed, etc. even compared with many other sports. Edit: I looked up the oldest boxer, and he was almost 61, holy shit xD
