That was a GREAT fight! Ippo is now rookie champ, so now all he has to do is recover from the carnage of getting there!

Mashiba "Boxing is really fair"...also Mashiba: Cheated to get to the finals! He's gonna have to do something for me to like the guy I swear. It was a good fight though.

Interesting how the end of this fight was was similar to the one between Mashiba and Miyata. Miyata was completely out of gas but Mashiba was freaking out and backed off to the other side of the ring, and in this one Mashiba can't even stand up and is crawling but Ippo is also freaking out. Shows how scary someone's tenacity can be even when their body can't keep up.

Maybe they use English for the people watching on TV if the matches are broadcast. Or it's because the same people have to referee international matches and switching to Japanese for domestic matches would be confusing. Maybe the various boxing associations just decided that English was to be used so everyone would know what's going on regardless of their country of origin. I assume it's the latter :D

The victorious boxer games are a lot of fun (how I got into boxing actually) but I think they’re only available on ps2 and one on Wii I think. We need a new Fight Night game it’s been way way too long.
