Regarding what Bjorn was referring to, it was probably earlier when Askeladd said that he hated the Danes and then later on he told his own army that he hated all of their guts. However, it was really sweet that Askeladd told Bjorn that he was his only friend. That must have been the best thing Bjorn heard before he died.

I think its interesting that even tho it was Bjorn that took Thorfinn hostage ive never really held that against him and i was even sad to see him go i liked our mushroom berserker guy and he was a true friend to Askeladd to the very end

Ever since you first thought Canute was the Hordaland the slave girl, I'd been thinking "Wait until you see this episode." No this slave girl isn't Hordaland, just another blonde blue-eyed girl like so many others in Western Europe. Honestly I think she might've been the one we saw on the block in an earlier episode. When they were complaining about bringing out the younger ones. She would've gone for cheaper which is good if you plan to sacrifice her in a political ruse.

I've seen people debate whether Askeladd was being genuine when he calls Bjorn is only friend, or if he only did it to make him happy. But I believe Askeladd really saw him as a friend, if he didn't, he at least cared enough to end him off happy.
