Something that I feel the anime undersells a bit (due to the medium not allowing for the kind of exposition a VN can have) is just how much of a mental wreck Okabe is by this point. For example he hasn't just been avoiding the lab and Suzuha for the heck of it, up until rather recently he couldn't even think about them without triggering a PTSD flashback like the one we saw here. He also has to take a lot of anxiety medication, which we saw in a short clip here. Basically, he's gone from a Mad Scientist to a Sad Scientist. Also, Maho is best legal loli.

I agree. The anime really undermines Okabes mental state or doesnt really shine a light on it factually. Always enjoyed the biking scene in Suzuhas route, where he can clearly remember liscense plates and everything around him, clearly going completely bonkers.
