I know we all hate arlong but i think when compared to Hordy there is one thing we can all admit and that is that Arlong had charisma to which Hordy does not. Arlong is like that main event lvl heel that you want to see get his but kicked and Hordy is like Baron Corbin, mid card heel that you just don't give a damn about and don't take too seriously.

You can tell the difference in the top brass people from this episode, king Neptune used his own body to shield his subjects, while in the same few minutes we see hordy use his followers as a shield. Idk if it was intentional but that was always the big thing that stuck out to me this episode.

Well technically the common fishfolk are not wrong about Luffy 'kidnapping' Shirahoshi. He took her out of the castle without anyone else knowing.. (but not "against her will" which seems to be the key word for kidnapping?) (I didn't care to read the whole legal text about that stuff just for the sake of a joke. At least Arlong cared about his men. Whenever a fishman got injured he would get upset, and he called them his "brothers". Hordy is an even worse piece of shit than that racist fuck...

Hate to be that guy, but I've gotta say there was a lot more blood in the manga here. The water arrows don't seem to do much in the anime. And I'm sure you've seen the next episode, so I can say without spoilers that the "fight" between Hordy and Zoro is 99% filler. In the manga, Zoro dives down, cuts Hordy up, and that's that. No "pre-timeskip" techniques are used (especially not Lion's Song, which is designed to cut steel), no prolonged fighting, nothing. It was meant to show the difference in strength between Hordy, whose non-enhanced strength is shown in this episode (pretty strong for an unknown fishman), and one of the Straw Hat's main fighters after the time skip. Pretty much like Luffy beating up Vander Decken while tied up without any effort^^

Actually not Arlong, got really angry when one of he's man got hurt by the straw hast, so Hordy is worst than Arlong in that regard.

Arlong is loyal to his men and would never use them as a shield. Hordy is way worse than arlong in so many ways.

Lad you will understand why Hordy and Arlong became the way they became as we dive deeper into the arc. You will still hate them both but at least you will understand. I know I did.
