That was a really informative and well made video! I always thought retconning had a negative connotation to it but it can actually be used to better a story if handled properly which is really cool!

I actually didn't know you were a big Batman fan, so I'm glad that last point had the effect that it did! ^^ This video kind of opened my eyes to how fans around the world might have different perspectives on Naruto... I was also mostly unaware of the mythology behind it, so now those names will always remind me of Naruto first and their original tales second... But that's not always the case. Soul Eater, another anime I hope you'll get to see soon, also uses a lot of names from different mythologies. The ones that really stuck out to me were the ones from the Greek myths, which gave me a preconception of what those characters would be like. It's just fascinating to me that fans who grew up in Japan and knew all those myths just from being surrounded by the culture likely had this extra layer of understanding to the story that a lot of Western viewers may not have been aware of. Anyway, I'll stop my ramble. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Since you had so much fun finding out origins of names from Naruto, I recommend looking up names of Japanese deities. You will find some of them familiar.
