Rewatching all of this again... Makes you really think. Whitebeard is such a badass, and that all while he should be on life support. Just imagine his prime days

Garp's right. Ace and Luffy chose to ignore his advice and become pirates. This conflict was inevitable. Garp was so distraught by their choice that he couldn't even fight back in the end.

He was an equal to Gol D Roger. For all we know, he could have been more powerful than Roger. They were never really at odds to know.

The pivotal thing I can most definitely say about this arc is that in every episode there’s been a pivotal moment that effects you either mentally, physically or emotionally. And as you wind down to the final episodes of this arc the moments impact you even harder. It’s not only the plot to this arc of saving Ace but it’s all these side stories for the minor characters that allow for all their development as the plot progresses and it captivates a deeper connection to the audience. The planning and thought put into this arc is one of the best to date and it’s not even the final arc of the story, maybe the final arc to the first half of One Piece, but just imagine how much more grander the actual finale to this series is going to be in comparison to this. Glad to revisit this arc on The Goosh, usually whenever I decide to rewatch this arc I dedicate an entire day from 6/7 am to the evening to go through all 30+ episodes. And I’ve done that about 10 times in my lifetime, so it’s truly a testament of just how good this specific arc.

I'm surprised you didn't find it drawn out, to me it felt really drawn out although i watched about 3 hours a day so maybe watching one everyday makes it feel different.

I just can't understand the arguments (especially from some YouTubers) that this is not the best arc in the series. It seems honestly disrespectful to even suggest it.

I'm sure Buggy appreciates that someone thought he could actually do something. Just a reminder that Buggy is about at the same level as Usopp. He just seems stronger because of his devil fruit. Then again, his entire thing is "fake it until you make it" and my god is he faking it. If he keeps that up, eventually he's going to make it. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Buggy's nation of followers was Luffy's final hurdle to reach One Piece.
