Notice how Grimmjow talks about the importance of having a "killer instinct"? That is very much the same thing Ichigo’s inner hollow talked to him about too. As their battle goes on, you'll see that there are more things those particular hollows have in common. Get ready Curtis, this is one of the best fights in the series. And it is fun to see that you have grown to like Grimmjow more and more. He definitely makes for a great rival! Plus, it is fun to watch just how much he enjoys a fight, very much like Kenpachi!

Grimmjow is like Kenny, there to just looking for a good fight and have fun while going at it. He egging Ichigo on is for same reason, to get Ichigo serious and go to 100%

Ichigo can already stay for more than 11 seconds in he's Hollow form. He's Hollow mask lasted longer in he's fight with Ulquiorra, basically the more he uses the mask the better he gets at controlling it.

I think deep down Ichigo does like to fight. He obviously does care about his friends and that's his primary motivation, but fighting is in his nature. Even before the start of the series we've seen that he gets into a ton of fights, even if he doesn't start them.
