Like that you pick up on the cloak, most reactors don't and most of the anime dad's seem to be badass. It's just their parenting that comes into question, yes Ging I'm talking about you haha.

Now you have a bit more of an understanding of why Ichigo has such a vast amount of spiritual power and why he's able to develop so quickly. He has both Shinigami and Hollow powers, and his father is a Shinigami. Remember much earlier in the series when Hat and Clogs told him that Byakuya failed to realize that Ichigo had Shinigami powers of his own.. Those Shinigami powers came from his father. Of course, there is more going on than that. But at least now the Shinigami side is explained. Mostly. Oh and also, he's still human.

I really like how real the situation with Uryu and his dad is. One really wants to master a skill, the other has talent but doesnt care about it.

Ichigo's dad is just an unstoppable badass, i also like that he has 3 children, his rule is that the children should have free reign and that they get to handle their own problems... But 2 of them are special cases for whom he makes an exception... The last one got coddled a ton by his mom until she died, so if that family had stayed whole then none of the children would really have gotten to get into and out of trouble on their own.

It really doesn't explain why he's able to develop so quickly, the guy lost ALL of his powers and had to reacquire them by training. In barely over a week he got strong enough to plow through a Fifth seat, a Lieutenant AND one of the strongest Captains IN SUCCESSION. After which he rested for a day and trained for 2 more, achieved Bankai (which is supposed to take 10 years) and stopped AND destroyed a weapon with the power of 1 MILLION zanpaktou and defeated another Captain. Granted at least with Byakuya he had help from his hollow side. Point is, his heritage, even when fully revealed, doesn't explain his incredibly quick growth imo. The Soul Society arc, despite being in my top 5 favorite arcs in anime, is rushed and filled with asspulls.

As another person mentioned, you may have noticed the spanish like music playing during Ishins fight, you'll notice a lot more of it in the future. The soundtrack in this series changes to different themes depending on the arc, its a really nice detail

I don’t think they ever gave us an explanation for the Father’s backstory, although I think we’ll finally get one in the new season. At least I hope

The final arc does reveal it. It's one of the best parts of Bleach imo.
