Not only was it fascinating to see this further tale of Greed, but just revisiting these characters was awesome!!  :-)

The stories for these characters are inherently diffrent since these arnt the manga stories. So diffrent character in the end even for the homunculi that look like the manga version in looks are diffrent.

It is worth a watch. For example i prefer greed as a single character in the original FMA. It is worth a watch and i for one would enjoy seeing it with you. It begins diverting from FMA:B fairly early. Its ending and lategame doesnt hold up, but there is an episode that is part of FMA:B's lore too that can only be seen in FMA.

This is one of my favourite episodes, but it really needs a better understanding of FMA to get it all. There is a ton of depth here that just goes missing without that context.

As you can see Its quite different from Brotherhood. Most people prefer Brotherhood, personally I prefer this version. A lot more human and less Shonen I guess? And a lot more sinister and dark. I would point out that while its nice to see these old characters again, in this version a lot of them are completely different characters. Its a shame that nobody cares about this version anymore, when Brotherhood came out its like this ones existence lost all significance to people. Even though this version was one of the most popular series of its time, with reason.

it was a hard decision but my thought if i could only pick one which episode would it be. i pined for days over this episode, Hughes finale, and original episode where they transmuted their mother
