Thus ends the rugged and blood stained life of Nicholas D. Wolfwood, Rest in Peace Brother. Honestly the first couple I ever shipped in my life as a viewer was Wolfwood and Milly ("Millywood" as my friends abbreviated it) I just wish that had happened.

Jose Ferrer

I loved this episode still has me tearing up when i see it such a good character RIP Wolfwood

Vash better start to figure out what he is going to do when he faces Knives and Legato. At least Wolfwood was able to do Millie before heading out to the great beyond.

The wolfwood scene is really tough he's one of my favorite characters in anime was so hard to not say anything every time you mentioned him especially with your 1st opinion of him I was like just wait he's really the best

The thing is, the argument you made for what Wolfwood did and the argument that Knives is making is a difference of scale. Wolfwood was trying to save one or several people by killing one. Knives atleast indirectly, on the spaceship, argued that killing the human species would save several or all species in the universe, since humanity had already killed all the species on one planet. The difference is in the scale.

Wolfwood lost the chance to do the perfect dad joke. "Hey irrelevant, i'm wolfwood"

Ouch. I got spoiled by a "top 10 saddest anime deaths" video with him as the thumbnail. But it didn't make it hurt less..

Did Curtis ever believe he could love a man of God so much? Otherwise three episodes left. Will the conclusion leave a memorable ending? Perhaps. What I do know is that they don't make anime like this anymore. I've said this before, but I like the music of this series. Like space-blues/country and when necessary quiet and somber. Anyway, one anime that I will through in as a suggestion for some point in the future is Hajime No Ippo. You liked Lieutenant Armstrongs Bare Knuckle boxing? Well, what about an anime all about Boxing... and dickjokes...

SpazBoysComedy

Hajime No Ippo just missed making it to the rotation during the last round of nominations/polls.

IDK if you saw it when laughing about the Apple. But wolfwoods teacher put the gun down only to have his hand move freaking him out visibly. Likely our friends Legato and Knives making Wolfwood pay for his mercy. Also I think the sniper took his own life. The motions were unlike when being taken over like we've seen from this episode and others.

I was never surprised that you came to like Wolfwood. After all there are only two types of people in this world: those who like Wolfwood, and those who haven't seen Trigun yet. Easily my favorite character of the series. The chain smoking man bearing a cross filled to the brim with mercy. Missed but not forgetten.

Chrome

he bore the weight of his cross till the end... it's such a brutal death without needing excessive blood or gore, just his speech and walking to the alter

Yeah that's what I thought too. He seemed freaked out on what was going on

Yea, this death is one of the more hard-hitting ones I've seen. It's up there with the others that have affected me a great deal.

Nicholas D. WolfWood, one of the greatest best friend/rival characters in shounen, signing out. This episode goes to exemplify the grief that's caused as a result of a lose/lose situation going down. Then entire gauntlet Vash has been set up to run is a moral conundrum where "The Spiders" or those who seek to cause harm constantly go after "The Butterflies" that are the innocent people and those close to Vash. Even when he did find a way to stop the killing and fend off the spider, Knives immediately tortured Vash by killing the members of the Gung-Ho Guns who failed their own missions. At every single turn in this story where he has been involved, Knives has sought to crumble his brother's ideological beliefs that all life is precious and no one has the right to end a life.
