I've been waiting for this episode for soooo long... I'm hyped

I always find it weird that people say that Zoro isn't a power holder, when its obvious he ate the Badass-Badass fruit

Johnny Kiehn

My favorite part of this episode is how Zoro takes sole responsibility as second-in-command on the crew despite having no obligation to do so and not even knowing if he himself would live. Despite his quarrels with Sanji, he respected him for wanting to take responsibility, and ultimately knew that if he wanted his friends, no, his nakama to survive, he would have to do this alone. Imagine, one episode earlier, he (theoretically) could have lopped off Luffy's head and handed it to Kuma to save his own dream of becoming the World's Strongest Swordsman, but instead he had so much devotion to Luffy and faith that he would become King of the Pirates that he was WILLING TO RISK BREAKING HIS PROMISE WITH KUINA to give Luffy the chance.

I still have no idea how he survived.....

GoldArthur

You know what Zoro's doing for the quarantine. NOTHING!

Vega

here we go...shit kicks off from here

GoldArthur

I think you mean shit kicks off HERE Honestly, though, I'd go as far as to say, shit kicks off at the start of Water 7. From there it just gets better and better and better until the timeskip.

V_VMat

Now you know why Zoro is the GOAT!!!

Tyler

Oda is good at making each crew member feel like they have their place and not feel like one is more important than the other. He does all this while making you feel like Luffy commands the respect of a captain and Zoro truly fills the position of vice-captain. We saw a bit of this in Water 7 when Zoro laid down the harsh truth to everyone about the Usopp situation and here. He truly feels like the backbone of the crew and it's why he's my favorite character.

Hey, remember that we are in the middle of the corona crisis, learning to hold your breath might be worthwhile

The following comment contains spoilers, so read at your own risk

I dont know what everyone is so hype about. Nothing happened.

Mighty Snake

At this point, I think Zoro might be able to survive falling down the stairs that killed Kuina, but those stairs are no joke they might be stronger than the entire grand line. Man stairs give me the chills.

Mighty Snake

Also as much as this scene makes me respect Zoro, I also have to give credit to Luffy for taking that much damage and just looking like he was asleep, but yeah Luffy and Zoro are my favorites in the crew for things like this.

V_VMat

Also, Luffy is rubber, so no normal/blunt hits really affect him, so the damage to normal people would be way much more!!

Haven't seen the reaction yet but Zoro is a Badass of exactly 3,000 Worldly propotions

To be fair to the Sanji camp, Sanji was perfectly willing to do the same, even to give up his dream of the All Blue to save Zoro who he could have just let do it. Zoro recognized two things though; First, Kuma likely wouldn't have accepted Sanji's exchange since he wasn't as recognized or had as much promise of ambition. Second Sanji has never shown the durability of Zoro, if it were Sanji taking Luffy's pain rather than Zoro it would not have had the same impact. Sanji is strong, but Zoro is the one the crew looks to next in line to take the helm of a battle when Luffy is down or missing. He has been considered the true captain on accident by many opponents in the past. This is when Zoro shines, when only the most badass move could save the day or when the crew needs a moment of reality. Perhaps not in everyday tasks or barking orders, but in terms of reflection and Leadership, Zoro is Second in Command no doubt.

Zoro's just David Goggins with 3 swords. Training Training Training

Now when talking with you about one piece and we mention the episode where "Nothing happened" Now you're in the loop you know what we mean.

Jcw490

Zoro absolutely deserves max credit here, but this moment is super underrated for sanji too. They’re both awesome

One of my favorite parts of this whole thing is that at the beginning of their journey, zoro said that if luffy ever got in the way of his dream he would kill him on the spot. And here he is giving up his life and his ambition for luffy. Fantastic character.

Richie Roberts

This this is the new level of awesome that is about to become the standard for One piece moving forward. this arc may not be my favorite, but the moments like this make it soar towards the top.

Im suprised no one remembers the promise Luffy and Zoro made. Zoro made a promise to Luffy that he would follow Luffy as his comrade, but if something ever happened that came in between Zoros dream due to Luffy Zoro would demand his head. Which luffy agreed to. Zoro saying nothing happened is to make sure he doesnt have to fufil his part of the agreement. After everything they have gone through Zoro risked his dream for his captain, and was honestly sure he would die. Honestly I believe he only survived due to his desire to make sure Kuma upheld his agreement

Miasimon

Why is it that just about every arc has Zoro in a pool of his own blood while looking like the most badass thing in anime? Also, I hope you bring tissues for the next few episodes.

It really is fun rewatching this and not just see the awesome moments again, but also things that foreshadow some big stuff later on

If Zoro was fu3kin Jesus Christ, he bleed for our sins. In the happening that is NOTHING!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

the more warlords we see, the more we realise how vast of a range their abilities and combat power span. crocodile, to me basically is on a 2 -1 vs luffy as far as I am concerned, and you can tell he is someone who got cocky with his df. as in if he kept training his body, he'd achieve greater heights. with the type of abilitlies Moria has, it's pretty clear to me that if he'd work out his body more for example he'd be unstoppable. this bear guywith 1 move took this many people out with a minor cut on the shoulder. effectively it gets you to think what about the potential of warlords who have pushed both their devil fruit powers and also their physical capabilities to the max

SpazBoysComedy

The awesomeness of this episode, coupled with the enjoyment of reading you guys' comments, which allows me to feel like we have truly all watched it together, has me SO jacked up for what's yet to come! :-)

Jcw490

And remember - this is the arc people think is slow or not as great. Just imagine what’s in store now 🤣😁

Mighty Snake

Which I think is a great point, it does show why luffy is surpassing them one after another because he is doing those things to better himself

Reminds me of a conversation between chopper and Zorro about teamwork. He tells chopper that everyone on board has got their own ambitions, but since they travel together, they developed another purpose. I think he meant helping Luffy achieve his goal. Zorro to Kuma:"LUFFY WILL BE KING OF THE PIRATES"

Sean Nelson

each member of the crew is there for different roles. there is a cook, a doc a navigator, etc etc and well there is also a moss head that sits around doing NOTHING and filling his role as the ships Badass
