It is worth mentioning that this guy is something like 300 years out of practice. Jidanbo was probably far more powerful when he was actually chosen, he has just had to rely on pure physical force for the last 300 years and even then he has at most had to strike twice.

You seemed to miss it but the guy we see at the end is one of the captains that confronted Byakuya on earlier episode, Gin. The guy you called 'Kabuto-like' Also about Ichigo's name that gatekeeper called cute; ichigo means strawberry.

Ichigo's name actually is cute lol, it can be read as either 15 or Strawberry in japanese, also from what I've seen it's more typically a girls name, hell I know a magical girl character with the same name as him lol.

Gin does have a very narrow pointed face with a long smile. Very snakelike in design. His last name sounds abit like Orochimaru too lol

Im a bit late but wanted to let you know that the reason poobah calls ichigos name cute is because it means strawberry Ichigo corrects him because it's actually a homophone instead of the Chinese characters for strawberry ichigos name uses the ones for 1 and guardian ichi and go respectively
