I really have NO idea what to think of the cross-bearer... However, I feel confident we will be seeing more of him.

Nicholas Wolfwood. Trudging around a desert with a cross filled with mercy. He's a fun guy.

I was all Gung Ho to make a pun about Wolfwood, but now everyone is just gonna be mad at me...

Bearing a cross usually means bearing a burden or enduring a trial either either by choice or chance. The idea that everyone has a cross to bear but some are bigger than other like sickness or guilt. Wonder what wolfwoods mental/spiritual cross is to carry such a big and a physical burden too.

Wolfwood is my second favorite priest in all anime (#1 being Anderson from Hellsing; especially in abridged)

Woolfwood comes across that way because there’s clearly a mystery going on with who he is, but I’m just glad Vash made a friend who’s a lot like him

Crazy how long it's been since I first watched this almost 20 years I think but if you're suspicious of wolfwood or any character where it seems they've done no wrong it's because of anime although I don't remember what my 1st opinion was just my final one on him

SpazBoysComedy

Yea, anime definitely teaches us to always look at things/people with a suspicious eye. 😄

So, fun fact on this series. The dude who wrote it was a devout Catholic. It's interesting to see how he deals with Christian themes in the show compared to other series, where other anime/manga writers just use Christian symbolism and themes because it's recognizable and exotic.

Hmm. Well, actually, this may not be the case. It was common knowledge in the anime community, and many articles about him claimed such, but he himself has been a bit cagey on the subject. Even so, Trigun handles it interestingly.

The manga version of Wolfwood is actually even more deep. I mean in general the manga is more fleshed out. Actually finished.
