Of all the notions I may have had about how and why these walls were built, none were as disturbing as the reality!

Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up: With the awesomely intense nature of these episodes, I see I wasn't commenting as regularly, just due to the gripping nature of it all. You guys are great at breaking things down or pointing things out, but I wanted to let you know that, on reflection, a lot more of the individual dynamics became more apparent to me... In short, as always, you are more than welcome to write out thoughts and explanations, but I just didn't want you to take a lot of time to do that, only to watch the next episode and go, "Oh, he already got that... Why didn't he tell us?!" :-D

It's ok Curtis. i came here to see how speechless you were watching these episodes :D

Just a few observations 1) Not sure if you caught this, but Dina is the titan that ate Eren's mom and Hannes 2) Your excitement about Gross getting eaten proves his point about us enjoying cruelty 3) After this, how Reiner and Bertholdt became who they are makes more sense 4) Zeke is the Beast Titan, remember his line "We're both victims of your father." 5) One of the lines that nobody seems to notice is when Grisha says "Our ancestors did the right thing" back when he believed the ethnic cleansing narrative. This adds so much darkness and grey to the fight imo. He also is operating on faith as you pointed out.

Of the eldian restorationist that were injected the santa looking one was the one that are Eren in episode 5 before he awakened his Titan powers. Also now that you have seen the map Paridise/the walls are on Madagascar of our world. But the only difference is that the north and south poles are flipped.

At the moment, it isn't really known what Ymir Fritz (different person from our Ymir) was like? It's all speculation. And did you notice? Dina's Titan was the same one who ate Eren's mother. This was one of the single most greatest uses of tragic irony in ANY medium I've ever seen, her saying "whatever form I'll take, I'll come and find you". And she did, and she ate his wife and almost his kids.

These episodes make you feel more Sympathetic to Reiner, Bert and Annie. They were practically brain washed to kill they’re own race because they are “Evil”. Couple of lines Bertholdt said make more since now such as “We were just kids we didn’t know any better” “nobody is in the wrong, that’s just how cruel this world is” “someone please.. please find us”

The best part of the episode for me is the Sargents speech at the end ( the guy who killed Grishas sister). The author specifically told the animation team to make sure that it looked like he was talking to the audience there. The entire speech is actually a commentary directed straight towards the viewers. Grisha asks if he finds enjoyment in watching people get eaten by titans. This question is actually for the ones watching the show as we just like the Sargent are finding entertainment in the same thing which is especially interesting when you just like a lot of other people watching this episode begin cheering as the Sargent is killed. Real interesting meta commentary. I definitely recommend rewatching that scene with that knowledge in mind it's very fascinating

Did you catch that Dina was the smiling Titan who ate Eren's mom? I guess in her own fucked up way she held her promise and found Grisha, or whatever was left of him at least.

So assume by now you already realize that Zeke is in fact the beast titan. However a huge revelation from this episode went over your head it seems. Dina was the Smiling Titan (don't forget she had royal blood as well) the one who ate Erens mom and Hannes.

The crazy think is that if you look closely at 21:07-21:27 when major Gross, or whatever his name is, is talking about how people actually are interested in seeing cruelty even though peace can be such a wonderful thing, he isn't just looking at Grisha but he is looking right at the "camera". He is looking right at us, the viewers. After all Attack on Titan is such a massively popular series even though it shows so much cruelty and suffering.

Behold the most perfect evolution of a series !!

You're actually a really sharp reactor, you realized instantly when Grisha was reading about the history of Ymir that he was basically saying "I don't really know because I can't read a lot of it, but it HAS to be true because we're the good guys!" which flies over the heads of most reactors. He really is taking a leap of faith on the ancient Eldians being the good guys out of desperation from their current situation.

The one that ate the jackass officer is a titan we’ve seen before too, I just don’t remember when

Where to begin on our revelations: Dina is the smiling titan who ate Eren's mom (I guess she didn't like Grisha getting remarried), the beast titan is Eren's half-brother, and the walls are there to protect them from the rest of humanity not the titans just to name a few of the revelations. I'm curious about whether you still believe the Reiss kings were wrong in their decision given what you know currently. Personally when I found out, it made a lot more sense why the moment someone gained the world's memories that they would come to the same conclusion that the first king was correct. And then we have our titan-shifter warriors. There was a line in this about them, that as young children they were offered a better life in exchange for becoming titans that work for the Marley government. Puts their actions in a new light at the very least. So much to digest all at once.

Lots of info in this episode yep. There are a total of 9 transforming Titans we learned. Lesse Founding titan, the other titan that Erens dad had, Female, Beast, Colosal, Ymirs, Armored. Any others we know of? Otherwise that has us at 7 known

The Cart Titan (currently unnamed quadruped titan that was helping Zeke), the Founding Titan (inside Eren right now), the Attack Titan (Eren), the Beast Titan (Zeke), the Armored Titan (Reiner), the Colossal Titan (Berthold), the Jaw Titan (Ymir), and the Female Titan (Annie). There is only one more that we haven't seen.

Most of the restorationists we see this episode have features that match with titans we see earlier in the series. Some of them we see get turned into titans this episode, like the santa titan, smiling titan (dina), and the one that ate that fuck toward the end. The rest that aren't shown directly are implied to have been turned offscreen. Soylent green!- er, I mean, Titans are people!
